"What a find! Crystal Lynn sings with the sultry maturity of a full-blown adult, but this country singer-songwriter is just hitting adolescence! Influences
I have alot of influences... My biggest influence is probobly my best friend (more like my brother) Dario D'Angelo. I have known him for many years and he is still the honost, trustworthy, and wonderful person he was 5 years ago. I love you Dario, and this time... Were going to kick some country ass!
My next biggest influence is defenitly my family. They are who I am and if It wasn't for them, I wouldnt be where I am today. I love all of you!
**I'm Tired of Trying - I wrote this song when I was 14 years old. I was sitting on my bed with my guitar and I was fiddeling around with some chords to see what would sound good. I came up with this music and thought wow, that doesn't sound that bad. So I got a paper and pen and just started writing whatever came to mind. This song is about 3 different people going through different struggles in their lives, and they are at a crossroad... They can either choose to keep living the way that they are, or make a change. All three people end up giving up and turning to the Lord because in the end, that's what it comes down to.**
**They'll never know- I wrote this song when I was 15 almost 16. This song is basically about me. Being a teenager can be hard at times, but being a teenager living an adults life just tops it off. I was lost over what to do with my life... should I keep performing? or just get on with my life? I hit some rocky roads in this business. Iv fallen but Iv never given up. I guess in this song, I explain how I was feeling and what was happening... without really telling you what happened. The past will always remain the past and we can only learn from what we did or have done and just move on. Unfortunately, this song did not make the album because it was to personal to me. But I have nothing to hide so I decided to post it on here to see what ya'll thought about it.**
**Strategy - I wrote this song when I was 14. I wrote it for my parents because they were going through a very rough time in their marriage. I wrote it being how my mother felt about what was going on between my father and her. I was with my mother 24/7 so I could almost feel what was going on in her heart by the looks on her face. My mother has been with my father sense she was 11 years old. They married at 16 and my mother had my oldest sister at 16 also. So you can see how much their marriage means to the both of them. I am happy to say that they have rekindled the flames in their marriage. But when things get rocky again, they know that this song will remind them about the hard times and remember that life may get hard, but love is what gets you through.**
**Michael - I wrote this song when I was 13 years old. People ask me, "what made you want to write a song like that?" But I never know what to say. My sister Anna was pregnant with my first nephew at the time and the thought of this song happening to her, scared me so much. So I wrote about it. At the time it seemed so terrible to write a song about that, but it turned out for the best. I did a performance in Clio, Michigan for a 9/11 concert, and a couple came up to me crying. I didn't know what to do, because I have never been in that situation before. I had thought they were crying because of it being 9/11 but I was wrong. This song was on my set list and they explained to me of their story. They lost their child, Michael. She was giving birth and his little heart just couldn't make it. I didn't know what else to do BUT cry. So now, every time I sing this song, I tell the story of the couple I met on 9/11 and how God had a part in me writing the song that was meant to be written.**
**I Believe - I wrote this song when I 12. There is actually a funny story to it. My father is the one person that I will show my songs to before I let anybody else hear them. He had told me that it needed some work so I put it away. I didn't touch it for months because I thought it sounded great, but I couldn't figure out how I could change it to sound better. So a few months later, I showed this song to my father again. I didn't touch it, I didn't change the music to it, I just played it for him. He told me it sounded perfect. I wanted to kick him because I could have been playing it out all those months that I kept it away. So every time I sing this song, I point to him and say "Its his fault why yall couldn't hear it soon" haha we all get a crack out of it.**
**Scar us All for Life - I wrote this song a year after 9/11 occurred. Because of this song, all the fire fighters in Clio, Michigan signed a ball cap for me and to this day, that is the most precious thing that I hold to my heart**
