About me: THE CRACK is a swish style and listings magazine/website that resides in the north-east of England. Since our inception in 1985, we’ve swelled like a 1950’s b-movie monster to engulf the whole of the region - Newcastle upon Tyne, Durham, Sunderland and Middlesbrough – and smothered them with our news and views. Our many cultural tentacles have their suckers juicing the goodness out of what’s happening in the arts, which we then squirt back at our readers in a manner which we see fit. This includes what is happening in MUSIC (from rock and pop to jazz, classical and all manner of LOCAL BANDS); ART (from blockbuster shows to maverick happenings); STAGE (including dance, comedy, theatre etc); and CLUBBING (underground, overground, whatever). We also have a take on the GAY SCENE in the region; like to stick our oar into fashionable pursuits; have plenty to say about the best festivals around; tip you the wink regarding RESTAURANTS and BARS; and offer a heads-up when it comes to the sweetest (and sourest) BOOKS,ALBUMS, SINGLES and FILMS. Oh, and we still manage to find the time to offer up STRIDENT VIEWS on what’s been getting our goat and also flag up anything – anything at all – that we think our loyal community of readers may be interested in.
Who I'd like to meet: The Crack would like to meet people who are interested in doing stuff in the north-east of England; whether you’re a resident or just passing through. And by ‘doing stuff’ we basically mean ‘going out’, be it to check out the latest local band on the cusp of something big, see what all the fuss is about regarding a hot new dance ensemble in town, or hanker after news of a new gallery which is set to open. The Crack would also like to meet people who want to contact other people in the region for all manner of reasons. Our online community –CRACKSLIST awaits your valued input.

I hope you enjoy my music because it was for you that i created. The record companies don't want to give me a deal because i sound like Michael Jackson,,,they feel that i'm an emulator.. My song is totally different from MJ's and i'm Orginal with my music. What they fail to realize is that you are the judge, not them. How many record companies executives you think buy CD's? "NONE" they get them free. You are my judge if you feel that my music is good..please help support my cause... also goto www.reverbnation.com/marionpharoahtaite and become my fan there this will help my ratings :D ....and if you join the streetteam you could win a cool autographed poster with your name on it... thank you for hearing me out...your new friend Marion
