Craig Anthony Miller (CAM) was born on February 2, 1971 in Brooklyn, New York. Never intending to be an artist, he has been documenting visions on paper since early childhood. When college bound with a Track & Field scholarship to St. John's University, he contemplated studying painting, but opted for contemporary graphic design over fine arts. In 1996, CAM began painting live at a venue in the Lower East Side of NYC, surrendering into a rebirth of art and truly emoting on canvas versus computerizing his creative images.

Since then, CAM has been showcasing work on the streets of NYC in addition to collective group and solo showings. In 2001, Miller co-founded EarthRise Arts Inc., an urban conglomerate formed to unite various arts in an underground subculture of New York City. Miller uses this forum to constantly grow in the public eye with personal exhibitions at Infusion, an Art & Music event sponsored by EarthRise Arts. The company reaches out to other up and coming artists of all creative backgrounds, giving them an opportunity to showcase in public.

CAM’s bold artwork was selected and featured on a 2003 Samuel Adams billboard advertisement in SoHo, NYC and in the 2004 Pepsi Black History Commemorative Calendar.

In 2005, he was installed into a continuous art exhibition at Pulse Music Recording Studios. Following this was an two month show at 311 Studio during the DUMBO Arts Festival and a solo exhibition at Piola Restaurant, which provided fresh and bold visuals for the dining experience. Additionally, CAM has continued to contribute artwork to help support global consciousness to charitable events such as The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation, and other charities around New York that helps the less fortunate.

In September of 2006, CAM had his first solo gallery exhibition at The Jazz Gallery in SoHo, NYC. This was a unique opportunity for Miller to connect with a music dear to his heart. In November 2006, CAM was part of a group exhibition at the Index International Show in Dubai, UAE. The first quarter of 2007 will be busy as he preps for his first international exhibition at Les Galeries Artitude in Paris, France.

Miller’s signature style derived from his fascination of stained glass windows. The familiar figure in his artwork represents the warrior within for anyone and everyone, and are as diverse as they are similar. This warrior is portrayed in different situations or portraits that display a range of emotions.

Craig Anthony Miller is a graduate of St. John's University with a BFA in Graphic Design. He is Creative Director for urban clothing Six Miles Deep who produces retro Track & Field inspired gear. CAM is an Affiliate of ArtExpo and The Sound of Art.
