This is an author page. Songs featured on this profile are selections from Craig Boehman's book of poetry, Wolf Gin Sonnets. Poems in the blog are recent works and should be considered sketches which may be published at a later date. There are also several spoken word recordings featured on this page which are available as free downloads.
If you have enjoyed some of Craig Boehman's poetry and would like to make a donation to the author, you may do so here.
I recommend this photographer highly to anyone needing covers for their books or albums.
Influences
In my poetry, it's the holy American Trinity for me: Ginsberg, Burroughs, and Bukowski. Ginsberg for his groundbreaking work and for showing us that poetry can be revived even in a nation that has turned its back on poetry and the arts. Burroughs for his renegade, pistol-waving prose -- especially his recital voice in later years. And Bukowski for appealing to those who wouldn't normally give two shits about poetry, the everyday man and woman, the drinker, the gambler, and the down-and-out anonymous mass in America's backyard. ==What else? ==
Red wine; black coffee; bagels (cut so the bottom half is thinner); tsunamis; a healthy narrative; music after midnight; morning walks deluded by sleep and punctuated by psychosis; Japanese maquaques frolicing in hot springs; traveling to foreign lands where I can't understand the language, or the politics; Separation of church and state; listening to music with headphones; writing in autumn; tempestuous weather; decomposing jack-o'-lanterns; Beachcombing; art; stone; the disagreeable disposition of plate tectonics

ahh i want to take some time to write this weekend after all this xmas nonsense is done,,alot of work at the moment,,but i will have a date with me and
xmas has always been my most hated holiday, guess working in retail for so many years, i learned to hate all the customers, and their complaints for that last minute item, and the parking, and the everything.
but whatever may come this holiday season,,let it be good and relaxing i guess hehe
I'm sorry it took so long to get back to you. The holidays are busy times for chefs and I've been working myself into a lather. Plus, M/S is such a pain in the arse that I can't anwer email without the damn page crashing on me. The result is that I have to compose something in notepad or word and paste it into the email/comments which takes me longer to do for obvious reasons.
Anyway, I agree with all the good points you've made about self publishing and will put your advice to good use. Meanwhile, I look forward to catching up on your new texts as soon as time and energy permit. You're a wonder, and, I certainly appreciate and admire your every effort--keep on blazing my friend! Catch you after the season wears down.
