Bio
Creating a life in the entertainment industry, with more than 15 years experience on stage, television & film Craig is back with new recordings and a very live show. .. As a child Craig began singing harmony vocals touring Australia with his dad, veteran rock & roller, LUCKY STARR. It was here Craig found his love for the stage and proved his entertaining skills stealing the show! .. .. Craig's stage presence, took him to a number of years with Lynda Keane's Gala Productions performing and singing across Australia from the Royal Command Performance at the Sydney Opera House to Westfield Shopping Centres nationally. In Craig's spare time, he worked on his father's farm, and looked forward to the annual trek to the Tamworth Country Music Festival to perform alongside his legendary father. It is no wonder he has ventured back to his roots, to find his success! .. .. At sixteen Craig made his way into television with an ABC series Earth Watch, then Secret Valley for Grundys and later landed a 12-month role in Sons and Daughters and A Country Practice. Following this he co-starred in the AFI nominated movie MULL, filmed in Melbourne with Nadine Gardner and Bill Hunter and won several Australian film awards. All these programmes went on to be viewed around the world. .. .. Craig's musical tastes evolved to pop rock forming a band called De Mont, which was Albert Productions most promising young band. (For those who may not know, Albert Productions started AC/DC). De Mont enjoyed great success with a charting first album and supports for many major Australian and International acts. De Mont toured Australia extensively performing over 300 shows within a 12-month period. .. .. To develop and refine Craig's musical direction, in 2006 he spent time in one of the world's most prominent musical cities, Nashville TN. Invigorated, Craig put together his country pop band to perform his new style of songs. The group has collected an impressive swag of competition wins over the last two years, putting Craig in the position to finally record his debut album, 'Heaven Knows'. .. .. Since the launch of the contemporary country pop album in Jan 2009, 'Heaven Knows' has been positively embraced by numerous country radio stations. Two stand out tracks, 'Heaven Knows' and 'Beyond Control' are in the top 25 Finalists for the 2009 Australian Songwriters Association Awards. During this time, Craig has also been made an Ambassador for the Australian Institute of Country Music (AICM) in Gympie, Queensland which assists in the development of country music throughout Australia with an emphasis on the youth and rural areas. .. .. Staying involved in supporting the kids, Craig and his band have visited Gympie State High School two years running to perform a music workshop for the Country Music School of Excellence (CMSOE) and concert for the school. He is now busy launching his third video clip to CMC, country track 'Miss You' where he spent a great deal of time filming the clip using a cast of students from CMSOE. In addition to actively promoting country music in Australia, Craig and his band continue to perform at many of the major festivals nationally creating an exciting stir for his high octane shows. And on the horizon for 2010 are even bigger and greater goals. Hell Yeah! Instructions: Place the disc in your CD player, turn the volume up, and then let the power of Heaven Knows wash over you. Be aware that repeated plays may result in positive effects on the mind and soul! -
