Marketing, inventions, advertising.
Awareness of poverty and the poor.
Undernourished, homeless, lonely, souls.
The world we live in.
You, me, them, us, animals too.
Music
Favorite Singers are Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, Beyonce, Tina Turner, Lionel Richie plus many more.
Blues, Jazz, Rythum and Blues, Rock, Heavy Metal. You name it, I listen to it. Like all types of music. Can play drums, saxophone, guitar, blues harmonica.
Movies
"Hotel Rewanda" was a movie that shocked me into action.
Watching the butchery of men, woman and children while the rest of the world turned a blind eye.
I experienced many mixed emotions of anger, resentment and distaste towards those that held positions of power and authority yet did nothing and allowed these mutilations, killings and sufferings to continue.
It made me realise that the Super Powers of this world with all their technology and wealth, still cannot stop or control these things. There was always some political reason or excuse.
Television
Too busy meeting people. Don't watch TV, instead I watch the Computer and find better news, events and exciting things happening here and all over the world.
Books
All types of literature as I believe that knowledge is Powerful. Anything that as soon as I start reading I cannot stop.
My Favorite Book is "Breakthrough Money Making Secrets," by the awesome Holly Mann of HonestRiches.
I owe my success to this lovely lady who took me under her wing and showed me ways to financial freedom.
With Holly's Help I am now able to help out those far less fortunate.
Heroes
Helen Keller
This awesome lady has inspired me since I was a young child.
How could she hear what was being told or see what she was being shown?
Yet Helen speaks, reads and writes better than most of us today.
I think she holds a BA in English Literature. If Helen Keller cannot Hear or See and achieve great success...then what is our EXCUSE???
"Although the world is full of suffering it is also full of the overcoming of it." - Helen Keller.
Holly Mann
Entrepreneur, Writer, Author and fantastic mother.
.."center"> ESFP - "Entertainer". Radiates attractive warmth and optimism. Smooth, witty, charming, clever. Fun to be with. Very generous. 8.5% of the total population.
I am an Entrepreneur whose goal in life is to establish a group of friends from all over the world who come together as one to share in the greatest gift of all...LIFE!!!
Although the world is full of suffering it is also full of the overcoming of it.
My wish and goal in life is to make a less fortunate person fortunate.
To know that I have helped save another persons life.
To give a ray of life and hope to those surrounded by death and chaos.
I want people to wake up and realize how selfish we can all be by allowing others in this world of ours to suffer and endure hardships.
We all make excuses everyday for the various things in our lives as to why we can or cannot do certain things. What about those who have no choice. Those with no homes, no food, no love, no life, no country.
These people exist...but it seems that unless it impacts us we do not really care enough to do anything about it.
I have been blessed with many adventures and vocations in life.
Computer Systems Engineer, Mental Health Support, National Security, Body Guard, Hotel Industry, Systems Administrator, 24/7 Live-In Caregiver, Artist, Musician, Mechanical & Engineering, Health & Fitness, Consultant, Editor & Author, Martial Arts Instructor, Forex Foreign Exchange Broker, Deportment & Grooming, as well as many other amazing things.
I am passionate about the many sufferings in this world whether it be people, animals or whatever. I help whoever I can with what I can give. Some people call it Altruism.
"I would rather have no money and a million friends...than have a million dollars and no friends."
So tell all your friends to come along and be that 1 in a million friend.
"Genuine friendship and a willingness to help your friends."
This to me is the key secret.
It is not.."What's in it for me?!!"
More like..."What's in it for them?!!"
I don't want to help just one person...I want to help them all.
I want to let you all know about a cool non-profit that is doing great things: Kiva
Kiva allows individuals to make $25 loans to low-income entrepreneurs in the developing world (microfinance). By doing so, individuals like you provide affordable working capital for the poor (money to buy a sewing machine, livestock, etc.), empowering them to earn their way out of poverty.
It's a new, direct and sustainable way to fight global poverty, and the way I see it, I get a higher return ..ing someone build a future than the interest my checking account pays.
Please check out the site: http://kiva.org. If you need more "reputable" validation than my recommendation :), know that they have received great press in publications ranging from The Wall Street Journal to NPR to BusinessWeek.
Join Kiva and make a difference to someones live today.
Always be content. If you practise contentment, even though you have no wealth, you are rich.
Without contentment we are spiritually impoverised even if we possess a great amount of wealth. A poor man who is satisfied with what he has and who has no strong craving to amass wealth is inwardly a rich man. Such a person has less misery, fewer problems and greater peace of mind.
Below is a Video of an awesome young lady who is absolutely brilliant. Never have I heard such an incredible voice. Bianca has won over my heart with her pure passion and commitment as well as her dedication towards the music industry. This young lady is a Mini Diva waiting to mature into one of the worlds best in my opinion.
Her name is Bianca Ryan and she was only 11 years old at the time of this recording.
The following links are provided to remind us all of those that are suffering and in need of help. We can make a difference. If we opened our hearts more then we would feel and see the anguish and suffering that others have to endure.
Thank you for your birthday wishes. Mountains cannot be surmounted except by winding paths. It isn't the mountain ahead that wears you out; it's the grain of sand in your shoe. Every choice moves us closer to or farther away from something. Where are your choices taking your life? What do your behaviors demonstrate that you are saying yes or no to in life? Every person has free choice. Free to obey or disobey the Natural Laws. Your choice determines the consequences. Nobody ever did, or ever will, escape the consequences of his choices. We cannot tell what may happen to us in the strange medley of life. But we can decide what happens in us -- how we can take it, what we do with it -- and that is what really counts in the end. How to take the raw stuff of life and make it a thing of worth and beauty that is the test of living. You see, it's never the environment; it's never the events of our lives, but the meaning we attach to the events -- how we interpret them -- that shapes who we are today and who we'll become tomorrow. Every single moment of your life you must choose from a number of alternatives. What you choose determines where you will end up.
I can elect to change all thoughts that hurt. Man is made or unmade by himself. By the right choice he ascends. As a being of power, intelligence, and love, and the lord of his own thoughts, he holds the key to every situation. The world isn't interested in the storms you encountered, but whether or not you brought in the ship. Man?s power of choice enables him to think like an angel or a devil, a king or a slave. Whatever he chooses, mind will create and manifest. Faith has to do with things that are not seen, and hope with things that are not in hand. God brings men into deep waters not to drown them, but to cleanse them. God hears no more than the heart speaks; and if the heart be dumb, God will certainly be deaf. Thank You.
Thought this might help if you needed a little mental roadmap toward your goals.
Everyone dreams big and I encourage them to do so. But remember to set realistic baby steps in your daily goals, track them and course correct, then take the next step.
This is the best way I have found to steadily move forward toward my goals and keep my sanity.
So dream big but bring those dreams back down to daily goals. You'll find the journey more enjoyable.
Hello from the Birthday Girl! I'm not 50! I'm 47 + Tax.
Thank you for your birthday greetings, they were great to get! Here are some sophisticated mature wisdoms for you:
* Birthdays are good for you. The more you have, the longer you live. * The early bird may get the worm, But the second mouse gets the cheese. * I drive way too fast to worry about Cholesterol. * A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory. * Success is simply a matter of luck. Ask any failure. * All the things I really like are either immoral, illegal or fattening - but do them anyway.

"How far you go in life depends on you being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and the strong. Because someday in life you will have been all of these yourself." -- George Washington Carver

Looking forward to getting to know you. Feel free to look around my page and get to know me too. Check out this great book I recently read, it has helped change the direction of my life for the better...I hope you enjoy it. (Click on the Title)
The following was developed as a mental age assessment by the School Psychiatry at Harvard University .
Take your time and see if you can read each line aloud without a mistake.
The average person over 40 years of age cannot do it!
1. This is this cat. 2. This is is cat. 3. This is how cat. 4. This is to cat. 5. This is keep cat. 6. This is an cat. 7. This is old cat. 8. This is fart cat. 9. This is busy cat. 10. This is for cat. 11. This is forty cat. 12. This is seconds cat.
Now go back and read the third word in each line from the top down.
Betcha' you cannot resist passing it on.
*If things get any better in 2008, I may have to hire someone to help me enjoy it* Helene Malmsio
