A member of the infamous Boom Skwad, Craig Rip hails from the city of Vancouver, BC, where he got his start making beats in the mid 90's on a 4 track, keyboard, and drum machine. After studying the craft for years, Rip made his production debut in 2005 with the heavily favored single "Prayer of a Sinner" from Hasan Salaam's critically acclaimed LP- Paradise lost.
Soon after, Craig was fortunate enough to bless MF Grimm's monolithic LP- American Hunger, with his raw edge, authentic brand of beats.
Rip also ripped several remixes on 2006's 'Kung Fu Hussle' mix Cd hosted by the Wu Tang Clan. He has produced tracks for hip hop heavyweights such as: Masta Ace, Tame One, Wordsworth, Boom Bap Project and others.
In 2008, Craig produced the bulk of the tracks on Hasan Salaam's sophomore LP- Children of God, and also produced the first track and single from X Clan's new album - Mainstream Outlawz.
With most of Craig Rip's sonic offerings before him, prepare for one of hip hop's next great producers.
