From Renaissance to Rock - and everything in between! Since 2010 is "The Year of the Piano," get ready for some great music from the king of all instruments!
Cranberry Coast Concerts is an annual music festival happening in the Cape Cod region of Massachusetts. Concerts take place in Onset, Wareham, Natick, Attleboro and Buzzards Bay. Featured artists for 2010 include duo pianists Kirk Whipple & Marilyn Morales, pianists Rorianne Schrade, Chris Brown and Marilyn Brown, tenor Steven King, soprano Linda Westgate, tenor Mike Duarte, bassist Joe Williams and drummer Brian Montgomery. Whipple & Morales are joined by Europeans Frédéric Chauvel and Mark Solé-Lerís as The United Nations Piano Quartet. Spectacular Night – A Night at the Movies! Cranberry Coast Concerts stars come out to shine in a tribute to music at the movies. The company performs a tour de force concert of songs and instrumentals from old favorite and modern cinema classics. Weekly music seminars this summer will offer workshops for pianists of all levels, a music reading workshop for singers, and the first annual young artist competition. Also featured will be outstanding young artists Charissa Hamel (soprano, pianist and bassoonist) and Braden Austin (tenor). Activities for children include workshops and free "informances" at the Wareham Free Library on several afternoons @ 1:00 p.m. throughout the summer.
