Crane Brothers are a band of northern boys putting power and passion into every live performance. They site Bob Marley, Toots Hibbert, Bruce Springsteen and The MG's as inspiration but they have created a style which is very much their own. The soulful sounding horn section suggest lilting reggae licks, but the band delivers pounding beats along with delicate harmonies, careworn vocals and crashing uplifting choruses. Live music which keeps you on your feet, singing and dancing with just as much energy as the boys themselves.

6music's Tom Robinson calls it "fresh, original, exciting music".

Gill Mill said "A 5 piece drawing on their northern soul heritage, but managing to sound really fresh and not like some talcum powder on the floor retro dullards.Throw in that hint of ska and I for one, am a happy bunny."
