    [ Après plus de 10 ans maintenant, l'heure est à l'essentiel. On ne se pose plus les mêmes questions qu'au début, sur le pourquoi et le comment on fait de la musique. Crankset en est simplement là. Toujours inspiré, certes plus radical, plus direct et ou complexe, mais aussi plus mature. La musique n'est plus composée de la même manière et ça se sent. Ce n'est pas le fait d'avoir partagé la scène avec quelques Gojira, Snapcase, Knut ou Entombed (...) qui a fait que Crankset existe toujours depuis 1997, mais l'envie sincère de faire sa musique. Car c'est de ça qu'il s'agit, faire sa musique, sans autre question que l'envie de la créer sans limite. Les influences sont diverses, elles ne s'arrêtent justement pas au métal ou hardcore, ni même à la musique en fait. Bref, le son est personnel comme la couleur musicale. Depuis ses débuts, le groupe n'a changé qu'une fois de batteur (juste après l'enregistrement du 1er album) et un des chanteurs a arrêté pour une autre passion. Après un split avec Noise Data, le nouvel album à venir "Gracefull Delicacy" est une photographie du moment présent. ] [ Since more than a decade, questions about why and how we play music are not the same as at the beginning. Inspiration is still there, more radical, direct and complex, with the precious maturity of the age... The way of composing music is no more the same, we can feel it by listening. It is not because Crankset has shared stages with bands such as Gojira, Snapcase, Knut or Entombed (...) that it is still existing since 1997, but thanks to feeling like playing its own music ! Because that's it, playing music is just a natural way of living for the band, by creating without any limits. Influences are wide, even not closed to metal or hardcore or music. The sound such as the music are personnal. Since the early times, the line up did not really change. New drummer after the first "Future for Thought" album recording sessions, and one of the singers stopped for another passion (BMX trainer). Yet, succeeding to the split album w/ Noise Data, the new coming "Graceful Delicacy" record is a picture of nowadays. ]
