About me:
Cranky Yellow is a shop & gallery space in Saint Louis, Missouri. We're located in the Historic Cherokee/Lemp Antique district and we daydream about expanding outwards.
We offer an insane world for artists, musicians, DIY'ers, makers, writers, zinesters, builders, punks, rock-stars, hipsters, nerds, losers, freaks, counterculture-billys, philosophers, queers, activists, hippies, leftists, scientists, bicyclists, gardeners, gamers, performers, lovers, collectors, dreamers and, of course, YOU!
Cranky Yellow is an organization that builds its financial basis on the selling of art, music, and literature. However, as most companies and organizations stop at the bottom-line Cranky Yellow uses this black-ink to fulfill community and political endeavors that it supports. We are not and we will never be money-grubbing penny-pinchers looking to fill our wallets. We want food, clothing, shelter, and a few books and movies here and there; otherwise what we want the most is to enrich the community around us (Currently St. Louis) as well as the world as a whole.
Our shop/gallery has been known to sell, trade, barter, lose & ruin the following items:
paintings, prints, music, kooky films, buttons, science books, handmade goods, greeting cards, folk-art, apparel, graphic-tees, bags, plushies, zines, action figures, vintage curiosities, patches, jewelry, records, carnival toys, hats, animal skulls, found objects, trinkets, strange lamps, pop religious icons, little boxes, driftwood, cool antiques, bits of broken things, posters, fabric, doll parts, 80's euphoria, masks, accessories, cute-crap, and other junk type things.
If you'd like us to carry your handmade oddities, just send us a message and we can talk! Yup... It's that easy.
We are fueling a raging rebellion against horrible mainstream media works. We are preventing society from ending due to creative drought. We are working to bring about change through art, education and charity.
If you'd like to dip your toes into one of our projects... just contact us!
