Movies
My all time favorite has to be Signs. I also like Pirates. But dont go to the movies much. *sheesh* its expensive ya know? I usually wait for the DVD and then buy it so I can watch it over and over and over.....
Television
I no longer watch TV and amazingly enough, I don't miss it either! I may watch the occassional DVD, when I am extremely bored!
Books
I will read just about anything that can capture my attention within the first few pages. I love books and love to read. My favorite author is currently Nora Roberts/JD Robb (same person) and her "Death" series. Awesome writer, if you get a chance pick up her book.

So, ya wanna know a little about me huh? Well, for the past 16 years, I THOUGHT I knew who I was....I was Dan's wife and best friend, I was a Mom, a cook, a housekeeper, an employee, a sister, and a daughter. Since my husband and I are headed towards divorce after 16 years together, I am not sure who I am any more. My identity for such a very long time was blended with his and building our life and family together. It's been a very hard adjustment for me. I am now in search of who *I* want to be after devoting my youth to marriage. Honestly? I have been jaded and I have very little trust in humanity as a whole, due to being burnt one too many times by those who "claim" to "love" me. Entering my circle of trust will be hard earned.
I am cyncal when it comes to "love" and I am quite sure many people spew this word from their mouthes without having the foggiest idea of what it even means.
I have a son who is 19 and a daughter who is 14.
I work in a Hearing Aid Center (oh the joy) as an Adminstrative Assistant.
I look for certain characteristics for my friends and believe it or not, you get insight on a person, by reading their blogs and profile. And so I came up with a list in which I follow when approving a friend request. Although, I do not follow it religiously, I do tend to keep it in mind when I visit your profile (and YES I do visit and read before I approve you.) Some of the things on the list are as follows:
1. I must find atleast ONE thing that we have in common.
2. I do read your blogs, although I am not looking for you to be the next best author in town, I look for clarity, subject matter (current events, ect.)
3. I also look for something that will make us diverse from each other, so I may get some insight on others and how they view the world. I am Christian, but have friends with many different "beliefs" on my list. Politically, I am an Independent. I believe in small gov't, less taxes and that the Constitution is more than a "goddamn peice of paper" Diversity is what makes us learn and grow right?
4. I could care less if you have an awesome sight filled with graphics (with my crap ass computer, I cant see them anyway) or if you have an avtar or your mug up.
5. I tend to not give a sight a look at if it takes FOREVER to download, because you have too much crap on there, I am not a very patient person, and I, like you, have things to do.
6. I am NOT accepting friends requests from bands, buisness's, or anyone looking to promote themselves. If you send a friends request and you belong in those categories, it will not be accepted.
That's just a few of the things I look for.
