Crashing Metropolis is a rock band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Formed in August 2006 when vocalist Mike Geary joined musicians Michael Kesneck, Jeff Skalyo and Mark Grode for a lead singer audition at their practice space in Pittsburgh, PA. After spending the next 10 months writing original music and recording demos, the band hit the stage and began playing live shows opening for bands like Cinder Road, Egypt Central, Sick Puppies, and Red. After a year of playing live shows and perfecting the sound of Crashing Metropolis, the band began work for their debut album with Producer Sean McDonald of Sofa King Music Services in the summer of 2008. The bands original songs “It Won’t Be Long,” “Bite Your Tongue,” “Wasted,” "Sugar," and the lead off single "Cold Hard Rain" will all be featured on the new album due out summer 2009.
