BANDS: Do not message us for gigs, instead please email your Myspace address to westendcentre@hants.gov.uk if you want a gig and live within a 10 mile radius of Aldershot. Sadly its rare that we can help any unsigned artists from further afield as we have so many bands wanting gigs from round our own area.

Alternatively, send us your demo CD with contact details (inc. postal address), a bit about yourself and any pics / freebies to Crashlanding, West End Centre, Queens Road, Aldershot, Hants, GU11 3JD.

THIS SUMMER - ROCKED OUT 5 - Monday 3rd - Friday 7th AUG

Prepare to plug in and rock out…

Following the amazing success of the previous incredible ‘Rocked Out’ courses, ‘Rocked Out 5’ promises to rock harder, louder, and even more rockin’ than the first three. Due to popular demand, an extra day has been added; ‘Rocked Out 5’ is a five day course which has been designed specifically to improve the live performance of young musicians, giving them the opportunity to play in a professional band situation whilst learning under the guidance of a collection of this country’s leading musicians and tutors. These vastly experienced musicians include members of ‘A’/The Bloodhound Gang, Graham Coxon/Charlotte Hatherley’s band, Reuben and Archie and the Instincts. The class will build students’ confidence with regard to musicianship (including theory and harmony) and improve their performance skills in terms of stage presence, timing, energy, accuracy, passion, attitude etc.

‘Rocked Out 5’ provides an invaluable stepping-stone between college and university for young aspiring musicians, and bridges the gap between rehearsals and shows for bands looking to move forward in the music industry.

*It is essential that students who wish to book a place on the course have a solid understanding of the basic techniques required to competently understand and play their instrument. *Students must be between the ages 14 - 18.

FOR COURSE DETAILS VISIT www.rocked-out.co.uk or www.westendcentre.co.uk FOR BOOKING INFO call the Westie Box Office on 01252 330040

The STATIC RAIN FANS space

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Static Rain is a 2 piece band from the beautiful Yorkshire town of Keighley. Band members Tony Garthwaite and Jacob Barlow formed the band in 2008, driven by a joint passion for both electronic music and retro synths. The music they produce can be described as electronic pop with catchy choruses and memorable riffs that are prominent in all of their songs, making them popular with a very wide audience.

Following their initial success on MySpace, Static Rain continues to build a solid fan base and a strong reputation as a live act. The band is currently looking for gigs from June 09 onwards throughout the whole of the UK.
