On many occasions we have asked for your band to keep the music down, but it seems that the loudness at times is not respected.
I don’t know if you understand about the loudness. In other words, when you play your music at the level you are performing, our house literally shakes on the souls of our feet or shoes. The loudness is such that it is impossible to open any windows whatsoever. We do not have central heat and air at the moment and we are people that love to open windows to feel the fresh air… The loudness of your band is preventing us from doing this… We have a huge backyard and cannot go there while you are playing, and even our dog won’t go out to do his business while you play….so she has to take her break while you take yours. I used to garden a lot… but it’s going to be hard to have family members over for a visit, or garden, or barbaque with such loudness… I love the band. I myself in my younger days sang in several bands over in Europe.. I love music.. all kinds.. but now it is really hard to put up with the loudness… I just wish you guys would understand……
Sincerely,

They still kick out classic American indie rock in huge guitar swerves that are as loud as they are pretty, they just have more seasoning and depth in their expression now, due in large part to Paul Paxton’s more assured singing. One of Florida’s most overlooked indie rock bands is back and even better.

CRASH THE SATELLITES: Learning to Land
Whether it's their thrashy swirly tunes or their slower paced songs Learning to Land blows the CD drawer right out the machine. This is beautifully, crafted, heady, and boisterous pop that most of the world has forgotten how to make. -First Coast News
"Y’know how I dutifully scowl, I mean, scour the trenches of the live music scene for you, dear readers? Well, the June 28 performance at Back Booth by Crash the Satellites is the reason I do it. This is the next band to be genuinely excited about. And that’s right, b*tch, they’re from Florida. Jacksonville, to be precise. Think Dinosaur Jr., only less wobbly and blessed with a more honed sense of melody. Their sound was propulsively pretty, like the Chapel Hill indie rock bands of the ’90s, but ear-splittingly loud at the same time. Heaven? Just about. At any rate, it’s a winning juxtaposition. Yesss, man … THIS is how you do it!" -Orlando Weekly
