Hello all, this will be our final release of 2009, and a great way to end the year... Pinklogik asked 10 artists and friends to remix her entire "Learning To Trust Higher Frequencies" album and what an eclectic and stunningly produced work this is. Each track has its own feel, thanks to the diverse range of artists involved in the project. A shimmering journey through ambient colours, broken beats, sweet melodies, a little bit of quantum physics, and is one hell of a trip....

Adviruz is the artist psedonym of Istanbul’s Pinar Gurcan, whose growing passion for sound is translated through her music. Since an early age, she has been listening and mimicking opera singers, writing melodies, songs and poems in which she spoke her mind and reflected her soul. All of which are evident on "Nightly Sounds", an 8 track album which is the equivilent of having a glimpse into a diary, learning of love lost, gained, a snapshot of the human condition from which we can all draw experience... All of these things are developed musically into minimalistic glitch, noise, idm, experimental music and microsounds, its influences reminiscent of work by artists like Tujiko Noriko, Mira Calix, Plaid and Björk.

Classe 1977 Martino ha al suo attivo sei documentari, sei documentazioni sugli effetti nefasti dell’agire umano, su situazioni difficili, pericolose, a volte inaffrontabili.
All’interno della trasmissione Antonio Martino parlerà degli ultimi due documentari da lui realizzati. Il primo Be water, my friend, girato in Uzbekistan nel 2008, tratta le difficili condizioni degli ex pescatori di Moynaq, una cittadina che fino a venti anni fa era bagnata dalle rive di uno dei laghi più grandi del mondo, oggi quasi completamente prosciugato. Il film è una dura riflessione sui rischi che ci posso essere nel trattare un bene comune come l’acqua come una merce. Il secondo, Nìguri, che verrà presentato in anteprima nazionale a Bologna nei primi giorni di dicembre, tratta la difficile situazione che si vive nel piccolo villaggio calabrese di Sant’Anna, in provincia di Crotone, nei pressi del quale è situato uno dei più grandi centri di accoglienza di immigrati d’Europa. L’incontro scontro tra gli italiani autoctoni e gli immigrati ospiti del campo dà luogo alla paura del diverso, all’incomprensione, facendoci capire quanto ancora è lontana la via dell’integrazione e di una società multietnica.
Ricordiamo a tutti coloro che vorranno partecipare al contest, che Arena 051 e il Centro Sociale TPO portano avanti da sempre un discorso su antirazzismo, antisessismo e, in generale, sul rispetto delle diversità come valori fondanti di ogni cultura e società. Di conseguenza sono assolutamente sgradite eventuali rime che, al di la del valore tecnico-artistico delle stesse, non dovessero rispettare questi valori fondamentali; non per una sterile imposizione dall'alto ma come precisa presa di coscienza da parte di chi, tramite il rap porta con sè ogni giorno la consapevolezza che l'hip hop è una cultura che con razzismo, sessismo, e disprezzo per il diverso, non ha mai avuto a che fare. Almost Tomorrow is the third full length collaboration album from Section 27 Netlabel founders Tam Ferrans and Andrew Paterson, under their Nonima & theAudiologist guise. This time around the sound is more melodic, and has a definite feeling of a complete and more mature sound than heard on the previous LP's "Dystopian Battle Hymns" and "Ceremony After Amputation". If you are familiar with their individual projects you may even be in for a slight surprise, as the tracks are not as beat driven like before, but are more atmospheric and sound, well... "bigger". In its 75 minutes, Almost Tomorrow takes you on a trip from the digital rain-soaked cavernous scraping in "Thoughtograph", the ethereal beat jittering of "The Colour of Rain", intercepted transmissions from unknown places in "Com-Intercept", "Ganzfeld"s huge yet strangely insect-like beats until everything you knew comes crashing around you in "Almost Tomorrow". Burning pianos, glitched out soundscapes and intricately programmed beatplay, this may well be their best work to date. Consider it the soundtrack to a rainy overcast day, but with just that glimmer of sunshine peeking from the clouds. "Almost Tomorrow" wears its heart on its sleeve.
