| General | I love to play hard, getting dirty in the mountains camping, hiking or getting muddy on a jeep trail, but I also love all the arts; getting dressed up for an evening of theater or strolling through a gallery while enjoying a companion's intellect. I've also discovered a love for Opera. Traveling & having new experiences is one of my greatest joys. Other than these few generalized interests, I am also into a lot of girly things like scrapbooking, knitting and cooking. My interests are diverse. Can you show me something new? | | Music | Typically the radio is on an Adult Alternative station, but I enjoy everything from the adult alternative to oldies to classical to Jazz. Norah Jones can always put me in a happy place. Poe is the most under rated artist I absolutely enjoy. Listen to Haunted! The only genres I can't seem to get into are rap and most (but not all) country. | | Movies | What kind of a woman would I be if I didn't say Princess Bride. A couple of choice favorites include Amelie, American Beauty, The Matrix Series, the new Star Wars (Don't give me crap about not liking Episodes 4 - 6). ;) Of course LotR, O Brother Where Art Thou, The Sandlot is a classic! Finding Neverland so describes my love of imagination. The list could go on forever... | | Television | Well... my schedule is never consistant so I have a hard time finding time to watch tv let alone keeping up with anything current. So, when I watch, I watch a lot of reruns but mostly it is just on for background noise except for a few good ones I TIVO. Leverage is fantastic as well as In Plain Sight, Monk and Psych are entertaining, Law and Order and SVU, but NOT Criminal Intent, I shyly admit to being a cartoon junkie too even though I haven't any kids. Still love Tom & Jerry, Bugs Bunny, Power Puff Girls, Jimmy Nuetron is the best newer show, just to name a few. Oh and don't forget Family Guy! Way too funny! | | Books | ALL FICTION!!! I never lost the love of the innocence of childhood. Anything that promotes imagination. I read the Harry Potter books out of curiosity and fell in love with them. The Count of Monte Cristo is a favorite. I had a goal to read a lot more classics. A Tale of Two Cities is rather good. Love Wilbur Smith's stories of Africa. A Sparrow Falls is his best, but the whole Courtney Series is really great. Lord of the Ring is obviously great and the Chronicles of Narnia. (The Movies rock). I read a lot. I am always carrying a book with me. | | Heroes | Difficult to say. Too many Heroe's are shot down by their despicable lives and the nosey media. Barak Obama is certainly one to watch. Rudy Guiliani has done some balsy things, Eleanor Roosevelt has an interesting history. I only feel comfortable basing on individual acts. I don't mean to sound like an egotist, but I am pretty proud of some of the goals I've met and how well I handle tough situations, so at times I am my own hero. |

About me:
I take pride in being a versatile woman; passionate in just about everything I do. To me, life is about taking everything in stride and enjoying it. Making the best of the worst situations & jumping on opportunities, especially when they push our boundaries. Only then can we grow. Sincerity, integrity, honesty, & loyalty (to name a few) are VERY important to me. I am upfront and don’t play games. I will avoid hurting someone’s feelings if I can but not through deceit and avoidance. I'm almost always smiling, giggling, or using my unique laugh, which I am told is a good laugh (not like a Janis on Friends kind of thing). If you weren’t a comedian before, you probably will feel like one with me. I’m also realistic & know that no one is perfect, including me. I am a writer and hope to make a splash with this site. Be sure to read my short story blogs. I love comments, but prefer constructive criticism; "it sucks" or "it's good" still helps me to learn, but "I really like this description..." or "this sentance was difficult..." is even better.

Who I'd like to meet:
Friends of all sorts and it would be nice to meet someone to share my life with but I am happy on my own so don’t see a relationship as something I NEED, but a bonus. In terms of myspace… I don’t add people just to add them, most of the people listed here are actual friends or here to read my writing. So, if you think looking at my list of friends will show you how many men I am dating... You are SO WRONG.
