The melodic death / black metal band „Craving“ was founded in August 2005 under the name "Erebos". In early 2006 the Band was renamed to "Craving". Between 2005-2009 the band recorded two demo cds (demo 2006 / revenge EP(2008)) and one online demo single. Both demo cds were sold out shortly after the release.
The lyrical concept of the band is concerned with nature, social problems, medieval themes or just with some interesting poetry. The lyrics are written in three different languages (!): Russian, English and German.
The debut album was recorded by Lars Schlüter(The Flaw) in Alpha Sound Studios in Dortmund in 2010 and mixed and mastered by Sebastian Levermann (Orden Ogan) in late 2011.
Helge Stang, the former singer of German Epic Metal Band “Equilibrium”, sang on two songs and Sole Genua has contributed two amazing solos to the record.
The CD will be released on 20th January 2012 via Apostasy Records.
