My husband who is my protector, provider, my rock and the love of my life. He had enough love and patience in him to (as he puts it) wear off the rough edges!
Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light; and
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.
Amen.
I try to live my life as if everyday was Thanksgiving. Not that I sit around everyday watching parades and football and eating everything slathered in gravy (how awesome would that be?) -- but I always try to count my blessings and remember the things I have to be thankful for. That is why I have my gratitude blog. Some days it's a lot harder than it sounds to find five things I am grateful for, and those are the days I need to do it the most.
Me in a nutshell:
-- I am very happily married to a wonderful man and we have a mostly wonderful 14 year old son. That boychild will be the source of my greatest heartache and my greatest happiness.
-- I have been in college for a decade of my 37 years on the planet.(almost finished with masters in library science)
-- I am a doctor. Yep, I have a doctorate degree (JD) and well you can call me Dr. Daisy if you like. Just don't call me a lawyer -- I am not one nor do I want to be one.LOL
-- I am a transplanted city girl who is more in touch with her inner hillbilly everyday.
-- I am learning stained glass, and I dabble in jewelry making and painting. All that education, and all I want to do is be an artist. : )
-- I am in the process of launching a small business.
-- I love football. I am a diehard Browns fan (there is no other way to be a Browns fan) and I still have not forgiven Art Modell for stealing our Browns away for 3 years. Love college ball, too. Go Buckeyes!! Go Irish!!
-- I love movies based on true stories. Oh, and old musicals and any football movies.
-- I watch way too much religious programming on TV, and probably not always for the right reasons. Like right now that pinkhaired lady is on crying about her dolls.(I may rot in hell but she makes me laugh) I am a big Gaither fan though and I miss Tammy Faye Baker.(the pink haired lady is a poor imitation).
-- I am a lipgloss junkie and a mineral makeup whore. Those little pots of Bare Escentuals are like sparkly crack for me.
-- I am seriously stuck in the 70's. I love the music, the clothes, the Saturday TV shows and Schoolhouse Rock.
-- My favorite former president is Jimmy Carter. If you don't know why he is the greatest ex-president of alltime, you need to find out. I have a thing for Clinton, also, and really wanted him to be first husband.(first man? whatever)
-- I put cheese or sour cream on almost everything and my favorite food is Mexican especially burritos a la roqueta.(pork burritos) I've also never met a country fried steak that didn't like me.
-- I don't smoke and rarely drink. Somedays I feel like I should start drinking regularly.LOL
we are going to be calling him tyler john. i have everything but the car seat. darn thing was suppose to be in yest.but wasn't. err. cant trust no one at sears! lol
