So you want it all condensed down? You want my vast array of interests smooshed into one small text box? Religion is probably my greatest interest, though it goes beyond mere academic involvement. I also collect things: Pez, action figures, comic books, vintage video games, decks of playing cards, Uno cards, Judaica, Monopoly sets, Alice Cooper stuff, shot glasses, and Mr. Potato Heads. I just pretty much collect odd or vintage toys and things in general. I love music and movies (with a special place in my heart for cheesy horror).
I love doing the convention circuit. I have fans, dang it, and I want to meet them!
Music
Alice Cooper is the greatest performer in the history of rock 'n roll. That is all.
That being said, I also really enjoy:
Cheap Trick
The Misfits
Blue Öyster Cult
Insane Clown Posse
Rob Zombie
Elton John
The Beatles
Paul McCartney
Ozzy Osbourne
Boondox
Evanescence
The Charlie Daniels Band
Lil Jon
Twisted Sister
The Time
Rich Mullins
"Weird Al" Yankovic
The Ramones
DMX
Coheed & Cambria
Steve Miller Band
Black Sabbath
Elvis Presley
Bo Diddley
AC/DC
Three 6 Mafia
Hank Williams Jr.
and the list goes on and on and on.
Slash is probably the best guitarist of all time. It's a shame he has never been a member of a band that didn't suck.
How come everytime Phil Collins come around ...
Ultimate Warrior's London Bridge wanna go down?
Movies
My favorite films are ones that I've been in: The Return Of Swamp Thing, Road Trip, Hell-ephone, The Legacy, and Hell House: The Legacy Continues.
Aside from that? The list is really too long to mention, but here's a random sampling in no particular order:
Ghostbusters
Jaws
Beetlejuice
Pulp Fiction
There Will Be Blood
As Good As It Gets
Blackenstein
Inglourious Basterds
The Pianist
Basket Case
Fright Night
A Nightmare Before Christmas
Repo! The Genetic Opera
Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2
The Watchmen
From Hell
Ed Wood
House Of 1000 Corpses
The Devil's Rejects
Rob Zombie's Halloween
all of the Rocky and Rambo films
the entire A Nightmare On Elm Street series
the entire Friday The 13th series
the original Star Wars trilogy the first two and most recent two Batman films
most anything by Kevin Smith
Television
Of current shows, the three I'll never miss are True Blood, Dexter, and Curb Your Enthusiam. I suppose network television doesn't make entertaining programming anymore. It's all "reality" or "talent" shows.
I've never enjoyed a show as much as I enjoyed The Shield. Television needs more shows like it. Vic Mackey never says die.
I'm a lifelong wrestling fan. WWE is king, of course, but I have been watching TNA. I'm a bonfide Mick Foley mark. I'll also always be a fan of Triple H, Al Snow, The Undertaker, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Taz, and Randy "Macho Man" Savage.
Shows that I'll always watch, regardless of what else may be on:
I Love Lucy
The Golden Girls
Tales From The Crypt
Sanford & Son
The Jeffersons
Man Vs. Food
Good Eats
Unwrapped
and anything about the Occult, religion, World War 2, or food that may pop up on the Discovery Channel or the Travel Channel.
Books
The Bible ... and no, I'm not being funny or ironic. I really enjoying studying The Word and wish I was disciplined enough to do it more often. I prefer the Complete Jewish Bible translation, as I find it to be more faithful to the original intent of the ancient texts. An ESV will work, too.
I'm really enjoying Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse novels. I loved A Series Of Unfortunate Events, though I must admit I still have a couple left to read.
Some books for you to find: Tietam Brown
Darkly Dreaming Dexter
Bijou Of The Dead
Evil Ways
Of Mice And Men
A Christmas Carol
Night
Oh, and you should read Alice Cooper's biography Golf Monster: A Rock 'N' Roller's 12 Steps To Becoming A Golf Addict. You should also read Jim O'Rear's Tennessee Ghosts. Finally, the most fun I've ever had reading a novel was with Andre Norton's and Mercedes Lackey's Elvenbane.
Heroes
Our lives will always be full of people who we admire and wish to emulate. There is One, though, that far exceeds what constitues a hero. He had it all: power, glory, authority ... He walked the earth as a King and a God. At His word, His enemies would have been smashed to particles. That's not what made Him a hero, though.
He had such great love and compassion that while I was still His enemy He died on my behalf, taking the punishment that rightfully should have fallen on me. At any moment He could have asserted His ownership over everything, manifesting anything He desired at the slightest whim. He didn't, though. He stepped in and took my place. He showed me mercy and grace that I didn't deserve. He asked for nothing in return aside from my love and respect.
He promised that one day He'll share His kingdom and authority with me. He's made you the same offer if you'll accept it. He had to go away for a little while, but I know He's returning. Man, I can't wait until He gets back.
There are earthly people I admire, though. I really look up to people like Ed Wood, Roger Corman, Jim Wynorski, Lloyd Kaufman, and Tim Burton. Their films may not necessarily win critical praise, but there is a passion and creativity present that is sorely lacking in most Hollywood so-called masterpieces. Orson Welles was the one who got it right -- never sacrificing artistic integrity while achieving cinematic excellence.
And generally, I have great respect for people who stand up for what's right.

Daniel Emery Taylor is best known to comic/sci-fi fans as "Darryl Hallenbeck" in the cult classic monsterfest The Return Of Swamp Thing. The sequel finds the mucky DC superhero falling for the beautiful Abigail Arcane while attempting to vanquish his archenemy (and Abigail's stepfather) Anton Arcane. As two young boys attempt to capture Swamp Thing on film (much like other loveable losers who have tracked Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster) they constantly run into trouble from mutants and Arcane's armed mercenaries. Luckily, Swampy has a tendency to save the day.
Daniel went on to gain modest fame for his role. He followed that up with spots on television's In The Heat Of The Night and the critically acclaimed I'll Fly Away. He was a regular on local programming and commercials, even doing some modeling and print work for regional and national business. His next trip to the silver screen found him in the Tom Green comedy Road Trip.
Daniel returned to film early in 2009 with the release of ZP International's Hell-ephone. Joining Daniel was Ari Lehman (the first Jason from the Friday The 13th series), John Dugan (Grandpa from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre), genre favorite Jim O'Rear, and Alex Del Monacco (former Playboy Playmate).
2009 promises to be a productive year, as Daniel will be featured in the upcoming features The Legacy, Hell House, and possibly others. He also does several fan conventions throughout the year, so keep an eye out! He may be coming to a town near you!
You scored as Reformed Evangelical. You are a Reformed Evangelical. You take the Bible very seriously because it is God's Word. You most likely hold to TULIP and are skeptical about the possibilities of universal atonement or resistible grace. The most important thing the Church can do is make sure people hear how they can go to heaven when they die.
Yes, you are cynical, but more than anything, you're a realist.
You see what's screwed up in the world, but you also take time to remember what's right.
Who I'd like to meet: Moshe, Rav Sha'ul, King David, Ronald Reagan, Alice Cooper, Mick Foley, Robin Zander, Stan Lee, Bruce Campbell, and Santa Claus ... in that order. I'd also like to gawk at Amy Lee, Tiffany Shepis, Taylor Scout-Compton, and Maria Kanellis. A boy can dream, right?
Hello, I am a student at Occidental College and I am training to run the LA Marathon to raise money for cancer research. You can follow my progress on my blog at http://lamarathonrun.blogspot.com/. My goal is to raise $1,500 and I was wondering if you would like to make a pledge. Thanks and have a great day.
I dont doubt it any. They all seemed to be off in their own little world. That was a great spot though. Do you know if they are going to film some of the 3rd at the OVW arena?
Thank you so much for your friendship.. I hope you can join me Sundays 6pm PST-9pm EST on my show, “The Haunted Truth” Paranormal Radio on www.blogtalkradio.com/thehauntedtruth and will be able to join us at the “Gulf Coast ParaCon 2010” Conference in Fairhope, Alabama.. Hope to see you soon..
I'm very sorry for your loss. At least you got to spend time with him both on set and outside of the studio and you had that friendship. No one can ever take that away from you. I couldn't believe the articles when I read them, I had no idea he was in such bad shape. I had seen him on VH1's Where are they Now Superhero Edition a few years back and he looked good. Then again, it doesn't take long for an illness like that to put a hurting on you. At least he's no longer suffering and can finally rest.
