Crazy Ballhead is not your average Hip-Hop artist. 20 years after reciting his first rap, the Sacramento, CA-based emcee
still extracts inspiration from all that life has to offer. The good, the bad, and the ugly of the world have helped to sculpt one
of the sharpest minds in music today.
Crazy Ballhead’s lyrics are an entertaining mix of self-introspection, and a reflection of American society past and present.
Some describe his style as Conscious; some call it Real, while others have coined it Edutainment. Despite the description,
most have found Crazy Ballhead’s poetic lyricism to be Thought-Provoking. With songs like “Hello Mis”, “Snakes”, and the
underground classic “So Cold”, Crazy Ballhead has managed to touch the souls of many.
Truly independent, Ballhead has worn the hats of Writer, Composer, Marketer, and Label CEO for each of his CD’s. Crazy Ballhead’s
5th full length CD ‘The Children of Hope’, due Spring 2008, spotlights Ballhead’s growth as a writer and composer. The title track is
a narrated short story written by Ballhead which chronicles the bloodlines of music like never before. The body of the album is full
of creative concepts designed to inspire visualization through sound.
Outside of the studio, Crazy Ballhead is regarded as one of the hottest live performers out of Northern California. His live
performances have captivated many crowds from Los Angeles’s Florentine Gardens to Philadelphia’s 5 Spot, from San Francisco’s
Elbo Room back to Sacramento’s Old Ironsides, and so many venues in between.
Crazy Ballhead’s live show features CB’s passionately delivered poetic flows and live energy over the skilled instrumentation
of one of Northern California’s funkiest bands. Ballhead’s band line-up usually includes Drum, Bass, Guitar, and occasionally keys,
brass, and/or percussion. The result is mesmerizing, and a Hip-Hop show you will not soon forget.
Crazy Ballhead continues to work night and day towards the goals he established as a child 20 years ago. Each small step is part
of a grand journey. A musical journey that started as one and now includes thousands.
