"CRAZYBREED" came together in early 2007 when after being blown away by his music n vibe Colonel Red aka Redz approached the ‘Creator Of Noise Electric’ (or C.O.N.E) to remix one of the tracks from his forthcoming ‘Sweet Liberation’ album. C.O.N.E stepped to the challenge and set about producing not one but two masterful remixes of the track "MyFoneAgen". This was to be the introduction to a whole new concept between the two artist/producers.
C.O.N.E & Redz were instantly struck by the chemistry between them in the studio as they invented their own form of fused sounds n songs in C.O.N.E’s ‘laboratory’.. Experimenting with typical sonic wire sounding beats from C.O.N.E’s heavy archive of samples & soundwaves, Redz got busy with the pen, the pad & the mic… and an outpouring of creativity began… This creative meltdown resulted in the MASSIVE dancefloor anthem "Victim" bringing high acclaim from around the globe to this two man crew..! But the explosive ‘Victim’ was merely a glimpse of what these two ‘bangstarters’ were about to produce!?!*!”!?*
Inspired, Redz & C.O.N.E started to dig deeper combining C.O.N.E’s ‘Architypal’ abstract beats & ‘Static noise electric frequencies’ with the sound of Redz wailing smokey-soul voice, sultry melodies & poetic lyrics.. Redz & C.O.N.E named the journey "CrazyBreed" since this name seemed to best describe the feelings evoked in them by the work they had embarked on together and encapsulated the shared vision of their music..
The creative openness they experienced in C.O.N.E’s ‘Lab’ enabled the inventive pair to explore production in an equal and beautiful way.. Redz expressing ideas on keyboards, guitars, percussion & with his diverse vocal arrangements.. and C.O.N.E using his multi-tasking abilities to thread & weave the sound creating & affecting a fine fusion which never fails to put their compositional skills to the test!
The “CrazyBreed” concept and journey has resulted in the finished production of four unique and seriously explosive chapters of music. Colonel Red & C.O.N.E are also taking the CrazyBreed concept on the road with the Notorious "BANGSTARTER SOUND-SYSTEM" (currently touring the club & festival circuit in Europe). A shock-out dub-funk affair, winding & grinding to the sweet sound of soul music, cutting across heavy-duty beats n bass lines!
