Crazy Crakaz is the brainchild of Joe Cammisa, a.k.a. joe_cam or JoeCamNet.
The first appearance of the Crakaz was in 2003 where joe_cam and his frequent collaborator Chris "Flik" Serani made a horrible, horrible song called "White Boy Rap" which represented what the Crakaz initially stood for: Humorous and horrible rap music.
Over time, the list of collaborators grew to an insane list and the music went from horrible and funny to something that's actually pretty damned decent.
Talks of a Crakaz album have been in the works for a number of years, but it all comes down to joe_cam's incredible laziness and the fact that he doesn't actually have any REAL recording equipment.
Who knows, one day, a real album might appear, but would the world be ready?
INFO ON THE POSTED SONGS
OUSWTFBBQ5
This song was recorded in the summer of 07 down in Fayetteville, Arkansas while hanging out at Mustin's house for the OneUps Studios BBQ.
All music and production by Mustin.
Lyrics written and/or made up on the spot by Joe Cam, Devon Riley, Shael Riley and Ian Griffin.
Vocals performed by Joe Cam, Devon Riley, Shael Riley, Jesus and Mattrello.
This is the final mix of the song, there's a demo version supposedly floating around in cyberspace, but who knows if/when it'll turn up. Rumor has it that Joe Cam did his first ever guitar solo in that version, sad.
Betrayal
This is actually a quite older song that just recently got recorded after sitting around for about a year and a half collecting dust.
It was written back in November or December of 2005 and was written in reference to two friends of mine who I felt betrayed me. A female that I was quite enamored with and my best friends. After she told me she didn't want to get involved with anybody, she slept with my best friend, whom I asked a number of times to not make a move on her.
I felt double crossed on that, so I wrote this.
Time healed all wounds and while my best friend and I are still buddies, the girl hasn't really been heard from since she met another guy. Last I knew, she was pregnant and working for Verizon. Donna, if you're out there, we miss you playing Kings with us at FAGFest.
Music and production by Diggi Dis.
Lyrics and vocals by Joe Cam and Diggi Dis.
Backing vocals by Ian Griffin.
Additional recording and production by Mustin.
Da Black Market
Comes from the Bound Together remix project. A rap remix of the Scaraba theme.
Phat Beets by myf with raps by Joe Cam, myf, D-Rux and Flik. Backing sexy moans by the one and only Pixietricks.
Visit www.joecamnet.com for more info on where to get the full project, which is a massive remix project of the Super Nintendo title, EarthBound.
Happy Birfday, DCT
TECHNICALLY, not really a Crakaz track, but it's a rap song and Joe Cam is involved, so close enough.
Song was done in a matter of hours at Mustin Productions in honor of Duane "DCT" Thorpe's birthday.
Music by Mustin. Raps by Joe Cam and Mustin. Keyboard solo by Jared Dunn.
Quite possibly the only Crakaz song with a direct sequel, but if you haven't heard it yet, you haven't been out friend long enough. FOR SHAME.
Inside jokes all around. Good times...
Hopefully some new songs will be coming soon!
