Hey they there guys and girls! I am Michael De Jesus or you can call me by my alias, “Crazy” Mike. I am the owner and graphic designer behind Crazy Go Lucky. I'm just your run of the mill average, goofy, and random kinda guy. I graduated from California State University, Hayward (now called East Bay). I got a bachelor’s degree in art and concentrated in digital graphics and multimedia. I also minored in Filipino and Filipino American studies (mostly because I thought it sounded cool). But yeah, I majored in art as I have always been doodling and being creative. Which went a step further when in high school when I started taking multimedia and digital art classes. While I am not the best artist out there, I really feel I have pretty decent designing ability. So back in September of 2006 I started up Crazy Go Lucky as a site to put my online portfolio for employers to look at. Which I guess hasn't really ever worked out as I’ve been never hired by a real design firm or company, and I ended up working in some lame electronic store.

     But in 2008, after I quit that lame electronic store job. So I went back to trying to find a design job, but still no luck. So eventually the thought just sank into me, if no one is going to hire to do design work, I’m going to have to take matters into my own hands. So I went and spent the whole month of April working on the third layout for Crazy Go Lucky. A layout that would make it look more professional and visually appealing, as the electronic store job never let me have the time to work on the site as much. So after the third layout was made I started thinking of other ways to expand on Crazy Go Lucky. At the time I had made available some clothes using the online service Cafe Press. I had always felt a t-shirt was a good medium for art and thought I could put my art on shirts. Though, the quality of those shirts was pretty bad and commissions were almost nonexistent.

     So from the end of spring/beginning of summer 2008, I started researching on how to take running and selling this “Crazy Go Lucky merchandise” myself. Which caused me to end up on a forum called Emptees. Which opened me up to a wealth of information on how to run a tee company, and with that info I was able to start up the Crazy Go Lucky Apparel division and in August 2008 the Robot’s Are A Nerd’s Best Friend Tee was released. With that done, now I just spend countless hours working on promoting and working on ideas to improve Crazy Go Lucky, even though so far it pays me no money and I am unemployed as hell. Why do I do this? It’s because I love art. I like making these cute, colorful, funny, nerdy, and sometimes strange designs. I like coming up with concepts for designs and things and having the creative control to make them happen. This is something a regular 9-5 has yet to enable me to have. So I ask you guys and girls to join me while I take on this little endeavor of mine. Because, trust me, even if this thing ends up a massive failure as some of the nay sayers predict, it’s going to be one hell of a ride. I’m a man of my word.
