art and design critic. gay rights activist in korea from 1995 to 2000. formerly an assistant curator at artsonje center and dong-a ilbo press museum, and editor-in-chief of sigongart publications and art in culture magazine, he recently published [ crazy art, made in korea ], which analyzes 25 korean contemporary artists and their major works. currently he writes for DT, a theoretical journal of design studies, and is working on his thesis – [ interface as symbolic form: recent transformations at the crossroads of art and design, 1992-2005 ] as a ph.d. candidate in art education at seoul national university.
