About me:
Please visit https://creamcitycollectives.wordpress.com for updates. The myspace is no longer being updated. Thanks! If you want to get in touch with us, email creamcitycollectives@riseup.net The Cream City Collectives, located at 732 E. Clarke St., is a number of collectives under one roof: The Mathilda Anneke Infoshop, the Milwaukee Screenprinting Collective, the CCC Gallery, not to mention many other groups that share the space for meetings and events. These groups all work together to share resources--including space, ideas, and time. We are all unified by the mission to "provide an accessible community space that will allow for the creation and diffusion of knowledge, ideas and skills, specifically for the growth of radical and progressive social change."Our open hours (including open screenprinting hours for experienced members) are:
Tuesday - Friday: 3pm-7pm
Saturday: 1pm-5pm
Sunday: 10am-4pm
WE ARE CURRENTLY NOT BOOKING SHOWS via MYSPACE!
Umbrella Collective meetings are every Tuesday at 4:30pm at the Cream City Collectives. Anyone who wants to bring events to the space, is interested in being involved with the organization of the space or wants to be involved in any way are welcome to come and participate in discussion.
If you'd like to contribute something other than your time, we have a wish list of items we are hoping to get donated. It would be a big help if you have any of the following:
Screenprinting supplies (shirts, sturdy picture frames, ink)
Office supplies (pens, markers, staples, tape, etc.)
Printer ink
Large food service supplies (pots, ladles, knives)
USB wireless cable
Copy machine
Display cases, shelving
General maintenance items (towels, toilet paper, garbage bags)
For more updated information, please join the CCC listserv here.
Who I'd like to meet:
People who passionately want to create a community without domination and exploitation in all its forms in Milwaukee for ourselves and those we share this community with (young and old, experienced and inexperienced, etc). We do not seek to simply mirror the community or tokenize its members, but to change it for the betterment of all of our lives.Details
