i know im a big dork. i love cheesey lovey dovey songs and as my friend used to say "suicidal" music. i dont think they are. i think they are songs that just provoke strong emotions. my form of emo music. it could be happy or sad. i listen to the lyrics and sometimes happy love songs sound depressing and then sometimes sad songs have an up-beat tempo. i know im strange. a lot of these oldies are karaoke favs.
Movies
im a sucker for movies that move me and ones that have beautiful cinematography: pretty woman, braveheart, finding nemo, sweet november, 50 first dates, the incredibles, sin city, korean dramas (misa, my name is kim sam soon, full house, my sassy girl), the professional, grave of the fireflies, chinese series dubbed in vietnamese (than dieu dai hiep, anh hung si dieu, etc), kill bill, gladiator, matrix, crazy/beautiful, ponette, he loves me he loves me not, run lola run, y tu mama tambien, hitch, the notebook, face off, 300, kung fu hustle, bourne, house of flying daggers, etc...
Television
whats on my tube (i have eccentric taste): tlc/discovery channel (little ppl big world, dirty jobs, myth busters, miami/la ink, jon & kate plus 8), reality crime shows (first 48, forensic files, inside american jails), reality food shows (iron chef, food channel, top chef), reality design shows (project runway, design star, extreme home makeover, flip that house), csi, law & order svu, law & order criminal intent, super nanny, wife swap, amazing race, platinum weddings, vh1 - fabulous life of.., cnn, etc...
Books
my interesting book collection: psychology, art/photography, fashion/beauty, architecture, interior design/decorating, feng shui, gardening/botanical, cooking/baking, astrology, almanacs, quotes, buddhism, brain challenges, greek mythology, how to books, etc...
Heroes
those with a lot of heart and compassion. those that know how to love and truly show it. those with ambition and goals. those who know how to combine all those traits.
my parents - for coming up from nothing and making a good life here for my sister and me
my sister - for sticking by me through it all & showing me that we can turn out alright & letting me test out my parenting skills
my grandparents - for teaching me that love like in the movie the notebook does exist
30 yrs and counting and what have i learned about myself... a lot. those that know me should know who i am and those that dont maybe will take the chance to get to know me. ;-) these days im all about traveling wherever and whenever i can. im lucky to have been to many places but i feel i have a lot left to see. im always up for a trip.

Well as I got another year older I have been thinkin bout people and life... the good and the bad! Well here is one thing to remember when life makes you deal with mean and hateful people think of them as sand paper... they may scratch and rub you in the wrong way and point out your flaws... but eventually you will be polished and smooth and the sand paper will be OLD and WORN OUT! So let them talk! You get the best out of LIFE by LIVIN LIFE... not just bein ALIVE!
