Always remember no matter how busy we get in our everyday life just how precious life is and those words "I Love You!" Let the people in your life you love and care about, know how much they mean to you not only today but EVERYDAY!
When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not shouting "I am saved" I'm whispering "I get lost!" "That is why I chose this way." When I say..."I am a Christian" don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need someone to be my guide. When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and pray for strength to carry on. When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and cannot ever pay the debt. When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not claiming to be perfect, my flaws are too visible but God believes I'm worth it. When I say..."I am a Christian" I still feel the sting of pain I have my share of heartaches which is why I seek His name. When I say..."I am a Christian" I do not wish to judge. I have no authority. I only know I'm loved.
"Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust him, and he will help you. He will make your innocence as clear as the dawn and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun. Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act. Don't worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes. Stop your anger! Turn from your rage! Do not envy others- it only leads to harm. For the wicked will be destroyed, but those who trust in the LORD will possess the land" (Psalm 37:5-9, New Living Translation)
Compassion:
The whole purpose of religion is to facilitate love and compassion, patience and tolerance, humility and forgiveness.
~H.H. the Dalai Lama~
Compassion is the ultimate and most meaningful embodiment of emotional maturity. It is through compassion that a person achieves the highest peak and deepest reach in his or her search for self-fulfillment.
~Arthur Jersild~
Compassion is not sentiment but is making justice and doing works of mercy. Compassion is not a moral commandment but a flow and overflow of the fullest human and divine energies.
~Matthew Fox~

The next time you are hurt by someone, realize the gravity of the crossroads
where you find yourself. Choose grace instead of bitterness. Then you will be free to move past the hurt.
Who I'd like to meet:
THE BROKEN CHAIN
We little knew that morning that
God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly,
in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you,
the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you,
you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.
For My sweet angel boy Ry who passed away in 1978 of "Sudden Infant Death Syndrome." For I know that we will meet on the other side and what a joyous day that will be.
Linda, this is a page I published on Writer's Cafe. It was sent out as an invitation to join Albert's Poetry Cafe. I thought I had the link somewhere on myspace profile, but evidently not. This page has live links in it.
glitter-graphics. com Good day here. Roy was able to go back to work today and it has warmed up here. I'm so excited, most of our snow is gone and it's suppose to be 60 degrees tomorrow. It will cool down after that, but that's ok as long as the white stuff is gone. I can't wait for spring...Dianna
It's been a busy week for me so I am looking forwad to having some relaxing time and time to catch up with my "Friends". Glad You're my friend...Dianna
I'm with the cat. I've had enough of winter and they say we have 7-8 inches of snow coming tomorrow. Then it is suppose to be 45 by Saturday so at least we have hope of eventually seeing the ground again.LOL I hope life is treating you well...Dianna
Still cold here. It's -14. I'm waiting on the heat wave to take the trash out and get the mail. LOL It's suppose to get up to -1 later. We're staying in again today. Hugs....Dianna
Hope things are good where you are. It's really cold here. Around 0 with wind chills expected tonight of 25 below zero. I was able to bring Roy home today between snow storms. I shoveled around 4 inches at 8:00am, then again at 1:00pm about 4 inches more. We got home around 3:00 and I went up to the closest store to pick up a few thing and the second storm hit while I was there. They're saying we could get from 8-12 inches from this storm. At least Roy is home and we can just stay in and take it easy. I feel like I could sleep for a week.I hope winter is treating you better than it is us..Dianna
Let It snow! We're suppose to get 3-6 inches before my Elvis Birthday Tribute Concert tommorrow night. That's O.K. 3-6 inches don't even slow us down. Getting excited about the concert. We saw it last year and it was great!!!..Dianna
Jesus Is The Reason In Bethlehem, God gave to us The source of Christmas joy; A star shown on a miracle: The virgin birth of a boy. He was born both God and man, A Savior for us all, The way to get to our heavenly home, If we just heed His call. So as we shop and spend and wrap And enjoy the Christmas season, Let's keep in mind the sacred truth: Jesus is the reason.
"C" is for the Christ Child born upon this day; "H" for Herald Angels in the night.
"R" means our Redeemer; "I" means Israel; "S" is for the star that shone so bright.
"T" is for the three wise men, They who traveled far.
"M" is for the manger where He lay.
"A" is for all He stands for; "S" means shepherds came, And that's why there's a Christmas Day. I heard something today for the first time that made me smile. We usually don't get ice storms like this last one. Now the wind is blowing and you can hear the ice cracking as the branches move. It's quite a pretty sound...Dianna
Gingerbread cookies anyone? Bad day here. We got a bad ice storm last night. I'm really thankful that our electric has stayed on.I would miss the internet, but I would miss the heat more. Hope you're staying warm...Dianna
