Below: Archbishop Desmond M Tutu talks about the work of the international charity, The Forgiveness Project theforgivenessproject.com
Why spoil the beauty of the Divine Creation? Just as the Lord has demonstrated Love and Compassion to us, we should "be as perfect as our Father in Heaven is perfect" and demonstrate our Love and compassion to all the living universe. The video below provides 30 reasons to be a vegetarian.
Creating and playing music, yoga, dancing, reading, working out, beach, playing soccer (on local men's over 40 teams), messing with new software ...
..
Superman, Casablanca, Dune, Brazil, Kundun, Circle of Iron, more ...

Washington Week, NOW!, Bill Moyers Journal, Countdown, Law & Order (original and CI), The Daily Show, MLS soccer, Battlestar Galactica, Smallville, Medium, more ...
books on biographies, meditation, psychology, software or science stuff ...
Originally from Connecticut, we moved to West Palm Beach back in 1964 when i was only 10. Have a very smart, 21-year-old daughter who now lives in New York City furthering her education and artistic ambitions. So it's just God and me ... for now.

These past few year i continue to take time to deeply analyze and simplify my life. Life takes many twists and turns. I am working to keep to the higher Path and falter less.
Primarily i'm an artist with a canvas of music, graphics and animation (some of which is displayed here on the left side), video, poetry and words, websites, and other such media.
Music wise i've taken time to rethink what i want to accomplish with my art. Having decided on the nom de plume Amritzar, i have created the website Amritzar.com plus three music pages here on MySpace with the Spirit version at the forefront along with Amritzar - Folk and Amritzar - Lyrical. My thoughts on my art continually evolve as i follow my bliss and focus on new creations that elevate the consciousness.

Spend time in meditation and working to raise my spiritual consciousness. A bit of time volunteering and helping others. Physically workout a couple times a week and live on a simple lacto-vegetarian diet. In fact, i have been a vegetarian since 1973 out of compassion for those we share this creation with. Click here to see my blog entry for more on the vegetarian life.

i believe we are all the children of the One Father/Mother God. Am allergic to extreme fundamentalists of any religion or creed preferring the attitude of live and let live. The only fanaticism taking place in this world should be our divine intoxication induced by the sweet nectar streaming down from heaven above causing us to be so imbued with Love — we can think of nothing else. I do not think the end of the world is at hand, but instead a new age is coming filled with hope and peace.
BLOGS: a complete list of my blogs is available on my Amritzar website. Please click here to go to that page. Or if you subscribe to the blog, you will see a complete listing.
Though i have traveled around the U.S. and to the Bahamas and India, travel is not high on my list of to-dos. Currently, i prefer conversation over a cup o' joe or a nice walk in the park or on the beach. Find it rather pleasant ... simple ... smile and be happy!

Hmm ... i enjoy meeting genuine human beings. As the saying goes: To thy own self, be true. Especially those who have taken the time to dig deeper to the Root and work to make a life worthwhile. As a work in progress myself, i certainly do not expect perfection, but i would hope some focus in the direction of self-knowledge and God-realization is being exercised.

I AM the Lover of purity, the Giver of all holiness. I seek a pure heart and there is the place of My rest.
If you wish that I come to you and remain with you, purge out the old leaven and make clean the dwelling of your heart.
Everyone who loves prepares the best and most beautiful home for his beloved, because the love of the one receiving his lover is recognized thereby.
The Imitation of Christ
By Thomas à Kempis

If you wish to be My disciple, offer yourself to Me with all your heart.
AS I offered Myself willingly to God the Father for your sins with hands outstretched and body naked on the cross, so that nothing remained in Me that had not become a complete sacrifice to appease the divine wrath, so you should be willing to offer yourself to Me day by day in a pure and holy oblation, together with all your faculties and affections, with as much inward devotion as you can.
What more do I ask than that you give yourself entirely to Me? I care not for anything else you may give Me, for I seek not your gift but you. Just as it would not be enough for you to have everything if you did not have Me, so whatever you give cannot please Me if you do not give yourself.
Offer yourself to Me, therefore, and give yourself entirely for God -- your offering will be accepted.
But if you rely upon self, and do not offer your free will to Mine, your offering will be incomplete and the union between us imperfect. Hence, if you desire to attain grace and freedom of heart, let the free offering of yourself into the hands of God precede your every action. This is why so few are inwardly free and enlightened -- they know not how to renounce themselves entirely.
My word stands: " in the same way, you must give up everything you have. If you don't, you can't be my disciple." Luke 14:33
The Imitation of Christ

No liberty is true and no joy is genuine unless it is founded in the fear of the Lord and a good conscience.
Happy is the man who can cast away every cause of distraction and bring himself to holy contrition. Happy is the man who puts away from him whatsoever may stain or burden his conscience.
Pray humbly to the Lord, therefore, that He may give you the spirit of contrition and say with the Prophet: "Feed me, Lord, with the bread of mourning and give me to drink of tears in full measure."
~ Thomas a Kempis
Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.
~ Hebrews 10:19, 22
I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.
~ John 8:12
Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.
~ Exodus 19:5-6

Consecrate all acts to the Lord. Then you will be freed. He who tries to live in this spirit will be able to do self-surrender unto the Lord. Gradually he ascends the spiritual path step by step. His greedy nature is slowly dissolved.
The Knowledge of the Self is the most profound secret. It can hardly be described in words. It can be realized only through direct experience or spiritual intuition. The self-luminous, eternal is ever shining in the chambers of the hearts of men.
God regards all living beings alike. He is the enemy of none. The egoistic man only has created a wide gulf between himself and God by his wrong attitude. God is closer to you than your own breath, nearer than your hands and feet.
God is like fire. Just as fire removes cold from those who draw near it but does not remove the cold from those who keep away from it.

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
~ Matthew 5:3-4
Learn patience and humility as part of the normal expression of your being. The Kingdom of Heaven will reveal itself in your life in direct proportion to the room you make for it.
Keep this thought in your mind as exclusively as possible until the words are replaced by a certain “feeling state” which becomes the true reality represented by the thought. Consider if you are willing to live a life not expecting special treatment but content to share the ordinary fate of ordinary men and women.
~ F. Aster Barnwell
Learn what your attachments are and to see how you can reorient yourself to that which is eternal from that which is ephemeral. Can I survive without my possession, social status, relationships and all the things which give my life importance and security?
Keep addressing this question to yourself without judging your reactions. Try to feel what it would be like to be without these trappings.
Make a mental note of all the things that are important to you and try to mentally eliminate them one by one and see what it would be like to be without them. Consider that in the truth you are quite naked and that nothing that you identify with can add to your being.
~ F. Aster Barnwell

Matthew 22: 37-40
Concentrate your mind and energies on meditating on Him, to absorb oneself in Him with undivided attention. The Resplendent Supreme Lord more radiant then thousands of suns is realised by absorbing the mind in Him by meditation.
This devotional absorption in Lord is of such magnitude and intensity that its meditation becomes a vision and the vision becomes an ever flowing current of devotion that is so vivid that the experience actually enters the realm of reality.
To install Him in one's heart as their personal worshipable, such obeisance is not a mere habitual genuflexion; but a sublime expression of sincere gratitude and humility that constitutes an emotion of love felt internally, as a beloved with a heart full of love.
Wherever there is a heart that has so much love for the Lord then there is as much love from God back to them. Lord's love is such that He finds it impossible to bear the separation from such surrendered and dedicated devotees and therefore without delay He personally brings them to Him directly.
If a blessed devotee of Lord arrives at this exalted vista then God will not hesitate to have their eternal individual association with Him. This is the truth that He Himself promises. It should never be interpreted as being just a metaphor or mere flowery prose.
~ Ramanuja
God bless you!

Let me be frank with you, because you are the indweller of my heart, the witness of my mind, and the Lord of my life. I cannot hide anything from you, because you directly witness all the thoughts that emanate from my mind. I have no fear of you. You are my friend now. Treat me as.
Let us eat butter and sugar-candy together. Let us sing. Teach me. Let me hear it directly from your lips once more.
O You the invisible One! O adorable and supreme One!
You are the apple of my eye, and the divine love of my heart, the very life of my life, the very soul of my soul, the illuminator of my intellect and senses, the very sweet mystic music of my heart, and the substance of my physical, mental and causal frames.
You are my sole refuge. I trust you alone, O ocean of mercy and love! Elevate! Enlighten! Guide! Protect! Remove the obstacles from my spiritual path. Meet me quickly. I am pining, I am melting. Listen, listen, listen to my fervent innermost prayer. Do not be cruel, my Lord. You are friend of the afflicted. You are one who raises the down-trodden. You are the purifier of the fallen.
O Magnificent Lord of love and compassion! O Fountainhead of bliss and knowledge! Pray, deliver us from all temptations. Give us light, purity and knowledge.
Accept our prayer. Guide us. Lift us. Enlighten us. Protect us. You are alone we adore, You alone we worship, on You alone we meditate, in You alone we have take refuge.
