Through education and advocacy, the Creative Freedom Foundation seeks to encourage, and promote New Zealand artist's views on issues that have the potential to influence their collective creativity.

As the natural world meets the digital opportunities are opening up for artists to connect with people across the world.

However, with the digitisation of media the lines between use and copy have become blurred and this has resulted in confusion over what creative rights New Zealand artists have and don't have.

The Creative Freedom Foundation encourages and facilitates discussion, provides education, and seeks to answer emerging questions around issues that have the potential to influence New Zealand artists' creativity and, when necessary, advocate on behalf of their members to make sure their views are taken into consideration.
