Born Kristofer Rojas, underground hip-hop artist "Creed Chameleon" lived in Guam, Singapore, the Philippines, California and on the east coast before settling in Hawaii. Creed writes and performs songs that he describes as "music to break barriers and inspire." His discussions range from his observations of a community plagued with afflictions of a duplicitous human psyche, juxtaposed by the spiritual aspects of learning the wisdoms of the heart or a realization of the alchemical facets behind creating realities that traverse the spectrums of human morality. Having a love for heavy metal, Creed was introduced to hip-hop at an early age of ten, writing rhymes through his familial influences which would be a catalyzing event that would later spawn his career as a writer. His musical influences are varied in style and texture, ranging from KRS-One and Jay-Z to Black Sabbath and Jethro Tull, to the Beatles. His current release "Love Potion Cyanide" features producers Ion Myke, Educated Guess, Riff Raff and Old Joseph with two tracks featuring guest artists DJ Observe and Nocando.
I'm trying to redefine the term "local music" for people to realize that there's a much bigger scene out there other than the hawaiian genre. If there was another way to describe my music, it would be called, "Hawaii Rebel Music".
