The Creekjumpers are friends first and foremost, brought together by the Asheville bluegrass-old time pickin scene. As per usual in Asheville, none of us are from here originally, but we now call this place home. All met at various jams and parties around town and soon formed friendships and musical bonds, and when the oppurtunity came, we figured we may as well make a little green and eat a little pizza while we play. Since pizza sauce stains our fretboards and greasies up our strings, we decided to eat pizza afterwards. The Creekjumpers were formed (sort of) in December of 2004, and have played at least once a month, somewhere, ever since. We play mostly covers right now, with a few originals thrown in, and we imagine this number will grow very soon.
