Creeptide is a Germany- based musician that has also American roots. He’s born in 1990 in Germany, so a little bit older than eighteen and makes music since he’s eight years old. With age he showed a growing interest in the technical site of music-making. Creeptide experimented a lot with synthesizer and recording techniques and there was this enormous passion for vinyl records and the growing curiosity for exotic and found percussion or field recording. For evolving his skills in all areas he worked with people and artists from all around the planet and had a vast amount of different projects. With an artist from Liverpool, for example:
"In August 2007 the British born Chinese artist Kai-Oi Jay Yung
from Liverpool, asked me if I could make some music for her exhibition. In association with the culture capital 2008 Liverpool
and the "Paradise Stories" exhibition I developed a 18 min. experimental track for a perfomance video from Kai-Oi Jay Yung and it was a great pleasure!!!"

"It was pleasure to work with Creeptide and he showed great maturity in terms of his approach to his passion of music as an art form. The piece to which I applied his sound was partly towards a moving image piece and his sonic helped to create the piece. I wish him all the best for his future endeavours."
The music:
He reached a stadium, were he “bundled” the technical and the musical component, in form of synthesizers, the passion for vinyl records, the interest in exotic instruments, percussion and world music, very well. It goes without saying that he doesn’t use loops or samples from commercial sample libraries at all. Everything is recorded manually or sampled from the good old vinyl record. A lot is developed in days of field recordings and found percussion orgies and the cheesy synths-sounds are all homemade. So the result is a lo-fi mix between 60’s and 70’s retro, strange 8-bit, world music, wicked avant-garde and classic movie scores and it’s maybe something you’ve never heard.

I planted a single rose. I needed thirty more. It was hard for me but I suppose what made it easier, I had seen the row of rose before.

Twisted, bent with souls for rent. Crying, dying, pleading, bleeding! One common hope, to kill the demon feed, To kill the demon need and never need more fucking dope! A plea for a little hope.
I planted a single rose for the elf who tried to fly While driving off a cliff as he fed his manik high. . . . . . . . . . . . . . He fucking died.
I planted six for those who couldn’t satisfy their fix. Instead they slit their wrists and clenched their fists And now they’re dead, Not to mention the ones with bullets in their heads.
Another four decided to tie the magik knots of death Around the silence of their screaming throats And kicked the chair. Too late, not a soul was fucking there.
I heard it once from a book of tragic words of life. “A rose by any other name be not the same,” The same with tortured, little elves through out their life, So lost deep within themselves. They felt the need to stash themselves and slash themselves away With the dullest of the gun and knife. The demon doesn’t give a flying fuck about which name we use. His one and only goal is to help the junkie, fairy, trollish elf to lose, To take his fucking life!
To all the little elves out there, let me show to you, the humble fairy cares. Beware! . . . . . . . . . . Don’t help me plant a rose for you. To live or die or crave the rotten, demon high! Little elf, it’s time for you to choose! The number is now at thirty-five. Don’t be the next to die. . . . . . . . . . . . . . Don’t be the next to loose!
