november 1992: eigenständig und unkommerziell, das waren die ziele, welche die jungen metalheads Ramon (d), Mätti (b) und Kili (g) mit CREMATION erschaffen wollten.
mit viel herzblut wurde in jeder freien minute songs geschrieben und erprobt. die band wurde zwischenzeitlich durch Spiga (v) und Charly (g) komplettiert. beim "Nice-Shoes-Wanna-Fuck Festival“ gaben CREMATION ihr live debut. im Sommer 1996 änderte sich das line-up zum ersten mal. Oscho (g) und Fabi (b) musizierten nun für Kili (g) und Mätti (b). eine neue ära mit vielen konzerten in der ganzen Schweiz fand ihren anfang. 1998 wurde die erste cd "Ignis“ aufgenommen. mit "ihr“ rockten CREMATION wieder in der ganzen Schweiz. 2001 wurde die zweite cd "Grotesque Humanity“ aufgenommen. verschiedene Songs fand man auf diversen Samplern europaweit. CREMATION wurde zu einer wichtigen Grösse in der Schweizer Death Metal Szene. Konzerte und Festivals wie Mountains of Death, Hellvetia Days, Open Air Gampel ermöglichten ihnen, mit bands wie Exhumed, Grave, Cephalic Carnage, The Forsaken, Sudden Death, Requiem, Mumakil und vielen anderen, aufzutreren. Nach vielen gemeinsamen jahren verliessen 2003 Charly (g) und 2005 Fabi (b) die Band. mit Marco (g) und Thomas (b) folgten zwei erfahrene Musiker und Freunde neu dazu. Diese explosive Mischung entfachte in CREMATION ein neues heftiges Feuer. Nächstens steht die Veröffentlichung der neuen cd "blowback" an und Konzerte werden folgen.

CREMATION was founded in 1992 – to create uncommercial and outstanding music was the aim of the young metalheads Ramon (d), Kili (g) and Mätti (b). With a lot of energy and passion they composed their music in nearly every possible second. In the meantime the line-up was completed by Spiga (v) and Charly (g). They played their live debut at the "nice shoes wanna fuck festival". In summer 1996 Mätti and Kili quit the band and Oscho (g) and Fabi (b) took their places. With this new line-up CREMATION started to play allover switzerland. In fall 1998 they recorded their first cd "ignis". After the release they played lots of concerts. 2001 they recorded "grotesque humanity", wich opened the door to concerts and festivals (Mountains of Death, Hellvetia day, Open Air Gampel....) with bands such as Grave, The Forsaken, Exhumed, Cephalic Carnage, Sudden Death, Requiem or Mumakil and lots of others. Before CREMATION entered the studio for the third time, Charly and Fabi decided to leave the band and Marco (g) and Thomas (b) took their places. in the nearest future CREMATION will release their brandnew record "blowback" and of course play lots of concerts....
