About me:
Crimespree Magazine is a periodical for fans for crime and mystery fiction and related topics. We cover books, movies, comics and television. Our main focus is books. We have articles about authors, by authors, interviews, profiles, reviews of books and DVDs and television shows, and a column on what's hot in comics. We run spotlights on mystery bookstores and conventions and signing events and small presses. We also review at least 60 books per issue. We read the bad books so you don't have to. We are like The Ramones of the Mystery genre, except we are bi-monthly. Our Blogs:
  • The Crimespree Blog
  • The Central COmics Zone
  • The Crimespree Cinema
  • Join the subscribers of at least 7 other countries and give us a try. Please feel free to leave comments, but try to avoid large jpgs and spam.
    Who I'd like to meet:
People who don't leave giant jpgs and say thanks for the add. People who read. People who think.

    Thank-you

    Dear Crimespree,

Thank you for joining me at my new MySpace site, FINISHING TOUCHES MARY (http://www. myspace. com/finishing_touches_mary).

Having you with me is indeed a pleasure.

Since time immortal, humans have found various ways to communicate. With the advent of writing, civilization as a whole has grown and expanded in knowledge. If it were not for the written word, we would know so little of the various cultures before us, and it is imperative that we too, leave our ‘footprint in the sand’ of history today, enabling future generations to know and understand us.

I do hope you and your friends will visit me at my site, where I feature some of the most celebrated, avante garde artists, producers, and writers of the 20th and 21st centuries.

So please ensure you peruse some of our forthcoming videos, blogs and bulletins, as I am certain you will be poised to endorse them as well.

    All my personal best,

    Mary

Check it out! Now available through the Cult of the Blues myspace page: Ngati Dread, Volume 1, Footsteps of Fire. The book about how the Maori sect, the Ruatoria Rastafarians, took Bob Marley's lyrics literally, burning and-a looting and doing their best to chase those crazy baldheads out of town. You won't have read anything like this. If you like your crime writing dark, bizarre and 100 percent true, you can't go past this painstakingly researched book about one of the weirdest chapters of modern New Zealand history.
    Cheers, Gus
