The band in general takes insperation from other bands like Incubus, Rage Against The Machine, Alter Bridge, Foo Fighters, InMe, Muse, Taproot, Nickleback, Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, etc ......................
Crimson Tide are a four-piece rock band from Sutherland in the North of Scotland. Their style has been described as ‘switching between soft-gentle acoustics, to brutal, just under control distortion, with haunting vocals’.
The band is made up of; Ross Macintosh – Drums, Ewen Mackay – Lead vocals, Gordon Macintosh – Bass guitar & John Mason – Lead guitar/backing vocals.
Together since early 2004, Crimson Tide have performed in venues throughout Caithness & Sutherland. Throughout 2005, the band developed their own material, followed up by a 5-track E.P. 2006/2007 saw Crimson Tide travelling further a-field to covering all of Scotland, while developing more material & further finding their style.
Now with a full understanding of their direction, Crimson Tide are well underway with recording a new album, and plan to release early summer along with a string of gigs in support of the new release!
