Cripple Ewe is a five-piece collection of musicians stemming from Chicago, IL.
The current members began playing together late in 2004 and soon realized that the fusion of their different influences created a rather unique sounding style of Metal. Since forming, Cripple Ewe has spent a considerable amount of time writing and recording their first full length album. Since the release of their self produced album in January 2007 the band has also played many local shows and put together a mini weekend tour to play in Nebraska. Since the summer of 2007 Cripple Ewe has received Radio play and promotion on Fearless Radio, Chicago Untuned Radio, Chicago Metal Works Radio, Ferocity Internet Radio, Metal Net Radio, and was featured on Chicago Metal Factories Myspace song playlist.
With a demo and full length album out of the way, Cripple Ewe has begun writing material for a second album and will continue to focus playing as many shows as possible to promote their music and expose it to the masses. Their main goal is to contribute their new, unique, exciting and dynamic sound to the music industry and to do so with an unmatched energetic live show.
WHY: To bring Metal culture to the fans in the southwest region of Cook
County, featuring: Grindcore, Death and Thrash metal bands along with a
network of sponsors that are deeply involved in the Chicagoland Metal
Scene, presenting products and services such as record distribution,
graphic design, radio advertisement, photography, custom clothing,
jewelry, band merchandise, and promotions.
WHO: Featured bands include: Cardiac Arrest, Lord Blasphemer, Cyanosis,
Ezurate, Evil Incarnate, Dead For Days, Hammered, Act of Destruction,
Atrophy of Existence, Lightening Thrash Attack, Hordes of Nebulah,
Maax, Created to Kill, Purge, Euvel. There will also be performances by
Dames In Chains Modeling during the headlining acts.

This venue (The Catedral) has faithfully served the South Side underground music scene for years and is now in danger of going away forever. In hopes of hanging on to this treasure of a venue, we are throwing two benefit shows there to SAVE THE CATEDRAL CAFE! The first is Friday (see flyer) and the second will be Friday, March 13th (can't go wrong with Friday the 13th) Proceeds from all merch sales will also go toward preserving this venue and donations will be accepted. Covan (vocalist of DECAPITATED), was seriously injured in last years tour bus accident, which sadly claimed the life of Vitek(drummer of DECAPITATED). Covan is still going thru a long and difficult recovery and needs our help.
