   About Cris Cuddy
"Elvis Costello meets Van Morrison" (Brian Ahern:Emmylou etc) Leader of popular Canadian indie roots-rockers Max Mouse and the Gorillas, whose ranks have included such stellar musicians as Dennis Delorme (Prairie Oyster), Roly Platt (Ronnie Hawkins), Tony Quarrington (Joe Hall and the Continental Drift, Brian Gladstone) and Hugh MacMillan (Spirit of the West). His first solo project "Come Along Carmelita" features multi-instrumentalist Fats Kaplin (ex-Tom Russell) and members of Mary Margaret O'Hara and Big Sugar. Cuddy's mentor, songwriting great Mickey Newbury, chose the album's title song for inclusion as a segue on his masterful "Long Road Home". "Keep the Change", produced by guitarist Andrew Hardin (Tom Russell), which also features Fats Kaplin, legendary guitarist Albert Lee, and the great Gene Taylor (Fabulous Thunderbirds) on piano along with Keith Glass and Joan Besen (Prairie Oyster) and Kevin Breit (Cassandra Wilson, Norah Jones). "Nowhere Town" produced by George "Tonechap" Bradfute (Webb Wilder, Phil Lee, Paul Burch, Richard Bennett) in East Nashville features Fats Kaplin and Steve Ebe. In addition to his own critically-acclaimed projects, Cuddy has contributed songs to albums by fellow Canadians Prairie Oyster including "Long and Lonesome Old Freight Train" on the excellent, current CD "One Kiss" and "Tom Cat" plus "No Love No Nothin" produced by Randall Prescott for Tracey Prescott Brown. Coincidentally the folk collector's LP "Jeremy Dormouse" featuring Cuddy has been re-released by Void/Hallucination USA. Cuddy has worked in Nashville with legendary producer Brian Ahern (Emmylou Harris, Johnny Cash etc) and also collaborated with "Memphis" George Bradfute.

This banjo player can travel.
Easily imported! Or exported, depending on one's point of view--

New song is very cool. Great photos. No banjo though. What's up with that? So, what else is happening? California is burning. It's been a wild Midsummer. I'll be up there in August visiting Alice. Luke is staying home to hold down the fort.
Maybe we will see you along the way?
