Andy Vere: A solid bass player: Fred & Andy knew each-other from "rival" bands during school days. Andy played in rock/blues bands
several years ago, but the "Crisis" offer meant coming out of early retirement! Loves blues, live music, real ale.
Mark Johnson: Keyboards: Played with Neil & Fred in a country-rock band, just before "Crisis". A fine, skillful musician, capable
of playing many styles of music. Loves rock/blues. Gives "Crisis" a real quality dimension.
Neil Cottrell: Drums: Played since teenage years. Has experience in many types of bands including theatre ensembles. Favourite musicians
include Fleetwood Mac, Duster Bennett, Family. Has been mates with Keith for many years (pre "Crisis"), & introduced Keith
to Fred, when original vocalist left in December 1998.
Great sense of humour.
Keith Thompson: A natural and highly talented vocalist. Been singing from an early age. Played in many established & respected bands during the '60's. Broad taste of music including, Elvis, P J Proby, Neil Diamond,
Eva Cassidy, Norah Jones, & now well into modern electric blues.....Gary Moore, Walter Trout, Jonny Lang.
Fred Robinson: Has passion for guitars (obsessed?) & loves live gigs. High energy guitarist. Started aged 9, & has developed own style,
after years of playing in all types of bands, from rock to strict-tempo dance bands & cabaret, but always coming back to the
blues.
Influences
Early influences Beatles, then Gary Moore, Hendrix, Rory Gallagher, Peter Green, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Walter Trout.........
The band is based in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, UK, was formed by Fred in 1998 : initial partnership with Andy to establish
the basis, idea & direction.
Fred & Andy put a core of numbers together, & then invited Mark & Neil to complete the initial format. Lead vocalist was added
after a few early rehearsals.
Original vocalist left the band in December 1998, after 2 gigs, due to family circumstances, making way for Keith to complete
the present line-up, which has been together since January 1999.

Dormant, a solitary policeman
Keeps ramshackle watches
over contstituent follies
With a penchant for hats
high times and good living
He put the pipe down
Long enough to see though the mist
A curl of lip & wisp of smoke
As the extraordinary gentleman
Unfurled himself
The scene was chaos
But the malt numbed some
-It rubbed off with forgotten ease-
They'd discussed this
Over archaic luncheons
The characters -as the drink-
Blended forth now in the moon
The beat had come down;
Hard on both
Yet trying to make it sanitary
The secrets of Anghiari
Were unfolded to both
Only to them
And The Carnival Ghosts
The mist cleared more
A girl of lisp & whip of smoke
As the extraordinary eyes
Of Venetian Glass
Poured forth & onwards running
To Anghiari, a battle for the brave
