    Crispin Flintoff's Interests
GeneralIdentifying trees and shrubs - and the birds that perch on them. Kew Gardens. Barnes Wetland Centre. Walking along the River Thames. Fulham Football Club.
MusicStarted with theme from Van Der Valk and music from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and The Sting, or The Great Gatsby... Then I got into Shakin Stevens (this is a confessional), as well as Toyah.. Dexy's Midnight Runners came into the frame through my sister's obsession for Kevin Rowland. And then there was Desmond Decker playing in the background. And some Bob Marley.. But then I hit the teenage angst and went for The Smiths and Morrissey. And Patti Smith, who I have seen live recently and she still spits like a punk. That hit the spot for a while until the day I started work at Charing Cross Hospital and met CG, T, Scoobie and Early B. Then it was Josie Wales, Tiger, General Trees, Admiral Bailey, Flourgan, Clement Irie, Ninjaman, Red Dragon, Tippa Irie and the Saxon crew, Sweetie Irie, Joe 90, Tenor Fly.. And then the singers: Sanchez (how he can make 'Lady In Red' sound good is beyond me), Frankie Paul (Jamaica's Stevie Wonder), Wayne Wonder (great version of 'Eternal Flame' and 'I'd die without you'), Thriller U, Barrington Levy, Half Pint... And then there was Garnet Silk and Luciano, as well as getting into the older style of Gregory Isaacs, Dennis Brown, Leroy Smart, Tenor Saw, Nitty Gritty, King Kong.. With the dancehall side, I listened to the emergence of Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Elephant Man, Sean Paul, Harry Toddler. Classical music is nice too. Beethoven's Pastoral comes to mind. As do his piano sonatas..
MoviesLaurence Olivier's 'Henry V' and 'Richard the Third'.. Chaplin's 'Limelight' and 'The Great Dictator'.. Marlon Brando in 'On the Waterfront'.. Albert Finney in 'Saturday Night and Snday Morning' and 'Charlie Bubbles'.. Great cameos from Ralph Richardson, Arthur Lowe and Malcolm MacDowell in 'O Lucky Man'.. Richard Burton in 'Look Back in Anger' and 'The spy who cam in from the cold'.. Dustin Hoffman in 'Papillon' and 'Midnight Cowboy'... Ken Loach's 'Riff Raff' and 'My Name is Joe'... French films with Daniel Auteil.. Uplifting films like 'Shawshank Redemption', 'Sixth Sense'. Recent funny ones like 'Sideways', 'Little Miss Sunshine' (best recent film by a mile).

Hehe you got lucky!
Big fat head Sanchez won't be any better than Coleman!
I don't reckon any of your lot will turn up to the friendly, and those that will will only be doing so to look down at the ground and say, "remember when we used to play in this dump?" etc etc! Not sure if I will go, friendlies are usually dire. Are you going?

Thanks for the add, Crispin. It would be churlish of me to take issue with Duncan's comment... Not that I'd want to, anyway.
