Sounds Like
it's all made up as it goes along , but maybe with a bit of Viv Stanshall and the Bonzos meets John Cooper Clarke meets Eddie Izzard meets Adrian Mitchell meets Norman Wisdom meets Kahlil Gibran meets Danny Kaye meets Glastonbury 3am lying down in front of a sleepy loved-up audience of one . Look we can't all rant and rave, some of us have to go gentle out there. So this is me words, thoughts, feelings, ego, mind, body and soul trying to connect. So hello. Love the heart. Feel the beat. When it stops we are gone. Ouch! .What moves us? For me-love and life and working for a better one for all..There's a place for us ..isn't there?
Perfomance and Football Poet dubbed “Eccentric!” by Central TV , expect lunched out mayhem from Stroud’s own maverick GM-free rhymey type wordsmith . Crispin divides his life , like half-time oranges - between running A World Music & Roots Agency (CTM www.ctmuk.com) for Hazel O'Connor, Imbongi, Craobh Rua, Lolou, Daby Balde, Chimanimani, Johnny Coppin & Moya and keeping together solo/band performances and football poetry workshops . Witty, perceptive. totally mad, but always at the cutting edge of fluff , I've appeared in/written 'The Poet Strikes Back’ - (Star-Wars in poetry and music ) at the Everyman Theatre,Cheltenham , and caused poetic havoc with festival audiences at Glastonbury, , Bracknell, Lichfield Green Fringe, Big Green Gathering,Cheltenham Festival Of Literature, Bristol Poetry Festival, Warminster Book Festival, Stroud Fringe, Larmer Tree, Malborough, Tiverton and Arlingham Festival. .His latest live CD ‘The Power of Fluff’ was recorded at Larmer Tree Festival and his first album: 'On One' on Solar Power in the Croissant Neuf Tent at Lichfield-Bless!

Impossible to pigeon-hole , 100% original and a master of the ad-lib , he's performed on radio, HTV Wales (“Fresh”), BBC 1 ('Inside Out' & 'Match of The Day 2' , Central TV and in March 2000 on Channel 4 TV in 'Avalon', filmed at Glastonbury Festival. Crispin comperes at festivals, and as has performed at the Royal Festival Hall as editor of the acclaimed Football Poets website, recently archived by The British Libraryand featuring 10,000 football poems. For the past 8 years, Crispin has run poetry workshops with children and adults across the UK within communities, schools, prisons and at football grounds including Chelsea FC for four years. Using football, humour, raps, chants and poems, his goal is to inspire and encourage reading and the written and spoken word . He's even waxed lyrical on tackling racism at the FA HQ in Soho and the House of Lords for Kick It Out! In 2005 and 2006 Crispin was invited by the British Council to run workshops and perform in Porto and Berlin. He also once introduced Rolf Harris to an audience of 20,000 at Glastonbury , dressed as Darth Vader and managed to knock over two of his amps in the process...you get the picture!........... .....................

Poem 162 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog): TEES TO TYNE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS - SUMMER 2001
Where traditions are not so rare; Sea, country and works scent the air; A multitude of monuments, Planted tubs and patterned pavements.
The longish pedestrian malls; The remnants of defensive walls; Historic buildings are a gauge Of the respect for heritage.
Wheat, rape and pines in the fields; Estuaries guarded by shields; Long sandy beaches and wide scenes; Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
Rivers in parts licked by trees, Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries, And crossed by practical delights - Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.
Fine churches headed at Durham; Football kits ad infinitum; Kept castles - one for study; Masonry behind masonry.
And, with moulding-works out that way, It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?
On June 8, 1967, a date which will live in infamy, a United States ship, the USS Liberty, was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the State of Israel. Thirty-four American sailors died and 174 were wounded. There was no retaliation, no honest investigation, and no assistance from American forces. Israel got away with cold blooded murder.
On September 11, 2001, planes struck the two WTC towers, and shortly thereafter both towers fell. But did you know that a third large building also collapsed on September 11 at 5:20 in the afternoon and that this building, WTC 7, wasn't even hit by a plane? What could have caused such an unusual collapse, which had all the characteristics of a controlled demolition? Again, there has been no honest investigation.
If the Israelis got away with deliberately slaughtering innocent Americans on the USS Liberty, then what's to stop them from doing it again? What other terrorist crimes against humanity might they also have gotten away scot-free with? Click to learn more.

Poem 2 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog): WALKABOUT WITH MY PEN
Once drove an old sedan, up north, From a place in Sydney to Cairns; Then to Kuranda I went forth, By train, to look without set plans.
I browsed through the trendy market, With fresh fruits of tropical kind; Walked to the creek through lush thicket - Nature’s hand giving peace of mind.
I dined in a scenic cafe; Then, outside, as I wrote for yen, Some passing Kooris called-out: “Hey, You go walkabout with your pen.”
Request or question, I don’t know - Assured voices, elderly men. That’s now several years ago, And I’ve seen the world - with my pen.
Minute Prologue I've been listening to all the dissension I've been listening to all the pain And I feel that no matter what I do for you It's gonna come back again But I think that I can heal it But I think that I can heal it I'm a fool but I think that I can heal it with this song.
Leonard Cohen (he does heal with his golden voice)
