Crissálida es una agrupación musical que fusiona el jazz, soul, hip hop, electrónica, blues, ambient y post rock. Nace en 1997 y desde el 2001 la integran Valerie Caro, Arnaldo Lozada y Raul Gaud. Estos tres jóvenes puertorriqueños buscan transmitir con su música un reflejo de la vida urbana contemporánea. Las letras de las canciones expresan el sentir del grupo en torno al amor, la vida, la ciudad y las contradicciones. La motivación de estos jóvenes es crear música trascendiendo los conceptos existentes e invitando a un público variado a transportarse en un viaje de creaciones sonoras, matizado por el aspecto cinematográfico del día a día. Hey guys! After a year and a half we are back charging full steam ahead with the release of our latest album "Songs For The Road Towards The End Of The World" this past May 31, 2009. Unlike our two previous releases this was a long duration album (LP) featuring 12 all created by Pete Drown. Mike Mellow participated in the album by co-producing it and creating the art. The first single is called "Ciento Once Grados" (111 Degrees) and we have a brief video/slideshow teaser for it on our page.
