Cristal was founded March 2004 by the guitarist Michael Paradjian. With his previous band experiences and an ambitious dream to create a leading power band in Belgium, Michael started his quest. Since the beginning, the musical direction has been turned to melodic and fast metal, more precisely neoclassical power metal with a little progressive tendency. Members were selected following their technical skills, age and human qualities. Benjamin Elleboudt arrived in September 2004 as drummer and in February 2005 they were joined by the bassist Hiro Onishi. After auditioning a lot of singers and key players, the dream finally came true with line-up completed in July 2005. With the arrival of Jérôme Leduc as singer and live keyboards player, the band entered a new era and recorded its first 5-tracks demo 'Here we are'. They played in many places in Belgium and France and received about 20 constructive reviews. We could mention they won the second straight title at the 'Jump in Raismes Fest' contest, which enabled them to headline the second day of the second stage in Raismes Fest 2006 in front of 2000 people ! At the end of 2006 Cristal stopped its live activities and began to record 'Heroes of the Night' (11-tracks CD). In May 2007, Nicolas Guilitte - already drummer for years in an other friend band and “fan” of Cristal’s music - replaced Benjamin (which actually keep in touch with the band as its webmaster and infographist).

Cristal is opgericht in maart 2004 door gitarist Michael Paradjian. Zijn droom werd eindelijk vervuld in juli 2005 wanneer leadzanger Jérôme Leduc de band kwam vervoegen en zo het ontbrekende element invulde. Van in het begin bracht de band melodieuze metal, alsook fast metal, meer bepaald neoclassical power metal met kleine progressive tendensen. De leden van Cristal werden geselecteerd op basis van hun technische vaardigheden, leeftijd en ook menselijke kwaliteiten. Sacha Swierczynski vervoegde de band in de zomer van 2004 als keyboard speler. In september 2004, kwam drummer Benjamin Elleboudt er bij en in februari 2005 volgde Hiro Onishi als bassist. In 2006 bracht Cristal een demo "Here We are" uit. In 2007 volgde een album met maar liefst 11 tracks, genaamd Heroes Of the Night. En het verhaal begint nog maar ….

Cristal a été fondé en Mars 2004 par le guitariste Michaël Paradjian. Son rêve est devenu réalité lorsque le line-up a été complété en juillet 2005 avec l’entrée dans le groupe du chanteur Jérôme Leduc, qui apportait sa voix puissante et cristaline au groupe. Depuis le début, l’orientation musicale a été tournée vers le métal mélodique et rapide, et plus précisément vers le power metal néoclassique avec quelques tendances progressives. Les membres de Cristal ont été intégrés en fonction de leurs qualités techniques, mais aussi humaines. Sacha Swierczynski a rejoint le groupe pendant l’été 2004 en tant que claviériste, et y est resté jusque fin 2006. En septembre 2004, Benjamin Elleboudt a intégré Cristal et en février 2005, Hiro Onishi est arrivé, accompagné de sa basse ! Le groupe a évolué depuis fin 2006, Jérôme Leduc assurant depuis lors également le rôle de claviériste ; puis, en mai 2007, Nicolas Guilitte - ancien « fan » et excellent batteur - remplaçant Benjamin au sein du groupe Cristal.
