Born in Mexico City, Cristina Abaroa started playing guitar when she was 6 years old.
In 1989, she obtained a scholarship to study in Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA where she graduated in Commercial Arranging.
In 1991, she moved to Los Angeles, CA where she has participated in the production of more than 60 albums with credits such as producer, arranger, songwriter, musician, production coordinator, backup vocalist and music copyist.
Surrounded always by the best producers, arrangers, engineers and studio musicians Cristina has an invaluable experience that has formed her as a musician throughout this time.
She is been a songwriter for 6 consecutive top hit novelas for children in Mexico City selling 4 million albums of the soundtrack: Alegrijes y Rebujos, Complices al rescate, Codigo FAMA, Mision SOS, Amigos x siempre, El diario de Daniela among others.
Currently, she is a songwriter for Mexican version of Sesame Street: Plaza Sesamo.
As a singer-songwriter, Cristina has produced and recorded two albums: Cristina and Pintor de ilusiones.
