Since he first worked in a club environment at age 14, the inquisitive and creative spirit that identifies Cordoba-born artist Cristobal Paz turned him an essential pillar of both city and province"s dance music scene, a very enthusiastic and attractive one.
After playing and co-producing different pioneer clubs in his hometown, actually the second largest city in Argentina, his lively groove selections were requested since 1993 in South America's summer glam spot Punta del Este, Uruguay, by venues such as Space and La Morocha where he was also one of the exclusive international Guess Dance Tour residents.
In 1998 he decided to settle down in Buenos Aires playing on a regular basis at legendary underground's favourites Ave Porco and Morocco, stepping later to La Morocha's headquarter and worldwide acclaimed Clubland nights at Pacha along with other main events.
Furthermore, during his stay at the country's capital he held his own weekly residencies at Animal, [bwat!] and The Shamrock's Basement. A solid experience plus a constant evolving sound led him to South American destinations as Montevideo, Santiago de Chile, Sao Paulo, Mexico and Guayaquil, followed by gigs in Amsterdam, New York, Barcelona, Ibiza, Paris and London, where he played two years in a row at the Notting Hill Carnival and at The End too. Featured in every Creamfields Buenos Aires edition, and once at Liverpool's original one, last March Cristobal was part of SonarSound"s local debut line up alongside Isolee and Laurent Garnier. Names like Ricardo Villalobos, Craig Richards, Mike Shannon, Loco Dice, Steve Bug Serafin, yoshihiro hano, mathias kaden, franco cinelli, cabanne, barem, mandy, andres oddone, lexdinamo,dr trincado, lee burrich, may and simbad add to the list of artists with whom he has shared turntables.
In 2005 he moved back to Cordoba bearing in mind an essential .. to focus on music production. Already a regular in local clubs Lokitas and El Infierno, nowadays he alternates studio work and different gigs around the country with a monthly night at Bahrein Buenos Aires called Soup, with fellow djs Carlos Alfonsin and Simbad.Cristobal also shares his endless musical search fusing styles and genres from deep to tech-house, from minimal, deep and funk, in his weekly Late Night show on Metrodance 95.1 FM.
