Il était une fois, deux terriens qui ont décidé de quitter leur berceau terrestre pour aller explorer l'extrême Nord de la Voie Lactée. En 2001, leur vaisseau spatial fait faillite sur la planète X. Nulle part à aller, aucun garage pour faire réparer leur vaisseau, ils réussissent à recycler des morceaux pour se créer des instruments. Capitaine Christian Pelletier, commença à pitonner sur, ce qui semblait être, un objet guitare-esque tandis que le Colonel Shawn Arseneau découvre un générateur de fréquence basse qu'il nommera, tout simplement, basse. C'était funky, c'était folky et ça faisait passer le temps en attendant de se faire sauver. Par le temps qu'ils ont été trouvés sur la planète X, le duo avait un répertoire de musique qui a diverti l'équipe de sauvetage tout le long du voyage de retour à la Terre. Voilà Crixen Shox.
Crixen Shox est le fruit d'une collaboration entre l'auteur-compositeur-interprête Christian Pelletier et le bassiste Shawn Arseneau. C'est du folk-funk le fun. La poésie politico-pactée de Christian sautille en groovant sur des mélodies acoustiques qui flirtent avec l'humour.
WHAT IS CRIXEN SHOX ?
Once upon a time, two earthlings left their home cradle in order to explore the far reaches of the Milky Way. In early 2001, their ship crash landed on Planet X. No where to go, no garage around to repair their vessel, they salvaged some materials and made instruments. Captain Christian Pelletier, started plucking on, what seemed to be, a guitar-like object, while Colonel Shawn Arseneau discovered a low-frequency generator, he later called bass guitar. Things got funky and things got folky. They entertained themselves while waiting for their rescue ship. By the time they were rescued from Planet X, they had created a repertoire of music that entertained the rescue crew all the way back to Earth. This is Crixen Shox.
Crixen Shox is the fruit of a collaboration between francophone singer-songwriter Christian Pelletier and bassist Shawn Arseneau. It's french, it's folk-funk and it's fun. Christian's politically packed and intimately stacked poetry skips on groovy acoustic melodies that flirt with humor and leave you wanting more.
