The Recording Arts & Technology Program trains students for entry-level positions within the audio industry. Associate of Applied Science Degree-seeking students receive broad-based training in music recording and mixing, location sound, commercial production, audio for video and television, record production and live sound reinforcement.
A field experience/internship component provides on the job training at local and national facilities. Graduates are employed in a wide variety of positions within the audio recording services industry.
Graduates of this program can find employment opportunities in music and commercial recording, location audio for video and film, corporate media productions, live sound reinforcement, pro audio and music retail, customer product support new product development, and manufacturing.
Today's audio professional must be proficient in both digital and analog recording theories, techniques and practices, PC and Macintosh operation, synchronization, current music performance and recording technologies.
