The beginnings of the band go back to the summer 1999.Stephan Fehr (Guitars),Claudio Furrer (Drums),Adrian Vogel (Guitars) laid the foundations of the band by playing a couple of jam sesions and finding out that the musical preferences pointed to the same direction.
After a long searching time, Rene Barthoulot join the band (without any band experiences) in January 2001 and being to a good addiction to the band. In this time the bandmates decieded to call the band CROPMENT. In October 2001 Cropment start their live activities with local and well known bands around Switzerland and Germany.
In 2002 Cropment decieded to record their first three songs and to release a mini-CD before going "Chaos Tour"(Curva Pivo Tour =) ) with Censored (Swiss deathmetal) through eastern europeThe mini-CD wich called "Braindrain Timeslavery"(Rel.Date:07. 27. 2002),contains three blasting pieces of raw brutal deathmetal. The mcd has been selling and spreading very well.
In 2003, Cropment decieded to release the "Cockclocked Humanity 7" split-ep with Vaginal Incest(Ger)Porngrind band. This 7" appeared on Blutwurscht Productions in january 2003
In the same time Cropment completes with Patrik Wawrzyniak (Bass) the line up gladly after a long searching time.
In April 2003 Cropment were on "Back To Humanity" tour with Scalpel (Swiss brutal Death) through eastern europe for a second time in Poland,Czech Republic,Hungary and Croatia.
In july 2003 a dream come true as Cropment was invited to play at the most awesome Obscene Extreme Festival (Czech Republic)
In September followed the first appearance in the radio,as they were performing live four songs of the forthcoming album "Spiral Of Violence"at radio Kanal K.
The recording of this brutal full-lenght-debut took place at the Crackords Studios near Brig,Switzerland in august 2003. Due organisational problems the album was not released before 2004 after the "The end of violent system tour across Spain and one gig in France with Baalphegor(Esp) and Censored(CH). In fall of september Cropment was on their big tour with Torture killer and Poppy Seed Grinder across north west europe.
So after two local gigs in 2004/2005 Cropment stops their live activities and will have a break. In the same time Adrian leave the band friendly and with good remembering. Cropment is still write new shit for the freaks.
In autumn 2005 Toby join Cropment as the free part of the guitar player.
He learn the songs really fast and with full enthusiasm.
So on we were back on stage in January 2006. With some local shows we presented a few new songs that we planned for an upcoming album.
In Summer 2006 we joined to play some festivals like SUFFERING LIFE,a fine local one BLEEDING FOREST and proudly the 2nd time at MOUNTAINS OF DEATH. The bad thing was that in this time Claudio deciede to leave the band to spent his time for the family. Also Stephan deciede to leave the band for end of 2006. during family and job reasons. Also he runs the label Fastbeast entertainment. It was the last show with this lineup.
The searching time for new members was really short.
