Sounds Like
People have compared our sound to the likes of Minus the Bear, At the Drive-In, and Kings of Leon ...really?

"Sensitive yet manly." - sound engineer, Sam Top, 04/09
"Crossfox has struck a great and rare balance between an independent sound, straying away from typical rock structure, and the right amount of pop to reel the listener in and keep them occupied." - Sun on the Sand, 03/09
"Crossfox are an indie rock band that flirt successfully with a mainstream rock sound, and though they come off miffed on their Myspace that people would compare them to Minus the Bear and Kings of Leon, neither of those comparisons are too far off the mark. What makes Crossfox interesting to listen to is the fact that it’s so hard to pin down exactly which bands they're influenced by. One moment they’ll sound like the Foo Fighters or Pearl Jam, and the next they’ll rip out a lead guitar line that sounds like something from Sleeping People. Crossfox are able to pull off the mainstream/indie juxtaposition because under it all they know how to write a good hook."
- The Stranger blog, 03/09
"In what will prove to be one of the top releases of the year, Crossfox really lets it rip on their new self-titled record. Goosebumps shot from my emo arms as "Imitation," the second song of the album, exploded from my stereo, evoking memories of early Smiths with brilliant, raw, mic-in-the-middle-of-the-room stuff. The record continues along those lines throughout, with finely crafted songs chock full of neat hooks and clever lyrics. I really enjoyed "Part of You" and its Guided by Voices groove and DIY sound that is so refreshing these days."
- What's Up! Magazine, 3/09
"...Crossfox took the stage next and their chunky choppy melodies were concise and dynamic. The compositions make it easy to see that no one in the band tries to dominate but instead each instrument compliments the others as integral and necessary parts of the whole. The band works as a cohesive machine, everyone knows when to push or hold back. These are some talented fellas." - What's Up! Magazine, 06/07
