Too many young lives are taken by cancer. Although researchers are making great strides in finding a cure, there is little support for young adults who are dealing with a diagnosis.
Crossing the Finish Line (CFL) aims to help young adult cancer patients navigate their way through an uncertain future - filled with tests, needles and chemotherapy. Although we cannot cure their sickness, we can make their lives better.
CFL provides week-long respite excursions to these cancer patients and their families. The majority of the respites take place at the CFL home in Davenport, Florida. Lasting memories of this retreat help our "sailors" recognize that it is their priceless lives, not the cancer, which defines them. Since our inception in 2000, we have provided respites to almost 700 cancer patients and their loved ones.
